Yes i have the same problem. I recently got a new laptop with Vista and after installing Civ3 & Conquests i wanted to create my own map and rules so i went into the civ3 conquests edit and created a huge world with 16 players, i renamed the civ i wanted to pick and all the city names and after i had generated the map i saved it as NEW SAVE FILE in the Scenarios folder.
But when i looked in there it was nowhere to be found. All the other scenarios were just not the one i saved.
I tried searching for it in the start menu and when it came up it said it was in there but it just didnt show up in the folder. And if i clicked on the shortcut from the start menu it just said WINDOWS IS SEARCHING FOR THIS FILE. Its a biq file by the way just like all the other scenarios. PLEASE IF ANYONE KNOWS HOW TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM HELP ME

If you are running Vista, then most likely (if you haven't disabled it manually), UAC is turned on. Thats User Account Control. It protects your computer by virtualizing files that can be edited in the most important folders on your C drive. If you did the default instalation of Civ3, that means you put it in the Program Files directory, so whenever you save anything there, it actually gets put into a shadow directory under Users. This thread might be able to help you, or at least point you in the direction of the Civ3 directories you need to look at.
