Civ 4 Complete - not install?

Hi
i bought Civ 4 Complete. I tried to install it but it didn' t work.
Well, i start the setup process, choose the dir to install and then... nothing happens. Installer seems to freeze. In task manager, setup "don't respond".... the other services and programs work fine during the "freeze" of civ installer... but nothing happens
so i have to close the setup process......
my pc is:
Q6600 + 4gb ram + nVidia 8800GT 512MB + 2 HD 320GB + DVD-RW DL + realtek HD 7.1 + windows Vista SP2 full update, also the nvidia driver.
I had civ4 "vanilla" and it worked ok. Then after a format of the pc, i re-install every things, excep civ4. Some day ago, i bought civ 4 complete, but it didn't install........
someone can help me?

Are you running the setup process as administrator (right click on setup and choose run as administrator)?

yes, i try also as administrator but nothing changes...

is there an error message in the windows event manager when the install fails?
is any other program running in the background during installation?

i "resolve" the problem...
well, when starts the installation, all seems freeze.. no opened windows with a installation bar or any other thing. But, after a lot of time (maybe 20 mins or more) I receive a "installation ok"...
I think there is a problem with the installshield or somewhat....
but now i have another problem... the game works ok, but when i try to install the patch for CIV 4 BTS i receive a "Civ 4 BTS not installed on your computer" error........ I try 3.03, 3.13, 3.17 and 3.19 patch and obtain the same result. It seems the game is not installed on my pc.... but it is in it!!! I play Civ4 BTS v3.01...

I had the same problem...but if i download the patch by game menu, it will be installed. the problem is when you try to install a patch that you previously downloaded and that was saved as file

i tried to download the patch inside the game but i obtained the same result: an error during installation of the patch.....
i don't know what to do.......

did you check the event manager for any errors?

i receive this error (my win vista is in italian, i'm traslating in english):

Exception not handled
Error Number: 0x80040707
Description: DLL function call crashed: ISRT.SdShowMsg
Setup will now terminate.

I also tried to use compatibility with WinXP SP2 and run as admin... no solution....
I think i have to play Civ4 BTS without any patch....... !!!

i dont know if im going to make another topic. but i also have a question... i have just bought a new pc and i dont know how to install the BTS patches... do i have to install all BTS patches or have the latest (3.19?) patch only?

I would guess that your new PC is Vista? You don't need them all and in theory only need the last one, but some help give a less troubled installation. Have a look at Lemon's Civ/Vista Guide that will take you throught the install process.
