Civ 4 installing issues making me rage!

Well I am trying to install civ 4 on my computer but when Im on disc 2 the ghandi early.mp3 I get this message (By the way I already installed it before but my computer died because of a virus im now using windows 7)

Feature transfer error

Feature: DefaultFeature
Component: Civ4Component

Error: Data error(cyclic redundancy check)

This is really making me !RAEG! pretty hard and im wondering if any one can help?

Welcome to CFC! It sometimes takes a while to get an answer as we are not all here all of the time.

CRC errors are usually due to a dirty or damaged disc. Try cleaning the disc, then copying the contents of the disc onto your hard drive and installing from there. If that does not work sometimes a different optical drive will read the disc so you can try copying the contents of the disc on another computer and transferring the files across to your computer then installing. Unfortunately it is likely that the disc will not be readable and you will have to replace it.

I just got a new laptop and I'm having the same problem. I'm attemping Furiey's suggestion: copying the disk to my hard drive. I'll report back if it works.

Turns out my disc 2 is unreadable. I wasn't able to copy to my hard drive.
