As a complete newbie on Civ 4, can anyone recommend sort of an overview article that deals with the transition for a Civ 3 player?
Sort of a short and sweet main points article.
Don't let these people scare you tomasjj!
I hope this won't get me run out of office, but I personally think Civ4 is brilliant (especially BtS) and adds a lot to the Civ experience.
I'd start with the "Tips for people who hate Civ4" http://www.civfanatics.com/civ4/strategy/civ4_haters.php
This article is sarcastic - it's more of what NOT to do. (ie - don't play Civ4 just like you play Civ3, or you'll get killed)

This one is really interesting, because it shows me why I failed (or rather: CIV failed to obsess me) - apart from lack of CPU power and sympathy for the graphics falderal...
But my CIV is waiting patiently in its box to be resurrected one distant day...
CSC and CIV are two different games and I find both can be fun. Haven't gotten to BTS yet. I learned some about CIV through the war academy. I can't recall the exact article but there is one about specializing cities that I found helpful.
