Civ 5 Design Challenge II - Mechanics

I'm voting for SgtWolf00's Karak Kadrin, because while I think a Slayer army could benefit hugely from 3/4UC (Goblin-Hewer, anyone?) and there are some things that I really think need work, well... I don't want him to feel left out. Plus, none of the designs interested me that much. Mine was garbage.

Yeah my second vote ever! Oh God a Goblin-Hewer would be devastating! What would it replace? Trebuchet? Also you can't vote for yourself no?

Anyways, I'm voting for Natan35's The Coalition. I had never actually played Supreme Commander, but reading about it I did find it an interesting idea for a civ, and the mechanics that Natan proposed reminded of some ideas I've had for other civs in the past (such as the selectable Great General).

I liked elements in a lot of the other proposals, though. Timewalker's Internet civ was amusing because I've been considering adding a memetics system when I expand my Future Worlds mod in the future.

When that happen, please dont leave out the Baneposting..

You might like Supreme Commander, it's a really fun game. Probably the thing I like the most about it (and Natan knows what I'm talking about) is the macro. Oh God the macro is glorious!

So we're announcing the winners yeah? Asking cause I don't remember when the voting period ends, and it's been too quite here.

Edit: I guess it's Christmas and boxing day yesterday and today and GPuzzle is busy. SO I'll wait another day before I post the results of the challenge. If you guys are fine with that.

So no one has given me a response within the given time, so I'm going to post the results of this challenge. (You guys can't yell at me because you guys didn't say anything.) So here are the results for this weeks mechanic challenge!

Starting of with the lowest score. Kul, Timewalker102, Scapegrace and myself had all received 1 vote each. While Natan and Bouncymischa received 2 votes each for their respective designs, but TarcisioCM leads the way with a whooping 5 votes! So there you have it, TarcisioCM wins this week design challenge with his Chachapoya civ! Congrats Tarcisio! (Either post your mechanic in the thread or message me or GPuzzle it.)

Bouncy Mischa got 2 votes actually

Nah, each design I submitted got 1 vote. I assume that we're really scoring which design got the most votes -- it's just, aside from me, everyone normally just submits one design.

Fixed it!

Yes normally people submit one design and they get judged on that. But for now I've given you two votes since two separate people voted for you, and in this instance it doesn't give you an unfair disadvantage.

I'll make the silly winner image later.

My mechanic will be: Civilian unit(s) can gain XP.

I assume you mean civilians, not GP? Otherwise, it'll be rather easy(I won't even have to make a new design).

God people if I ask you a question about something you wrote don't use the word literally
You said civilian units, which also includes great people. However, you might have meant to the worker, work boat and the settler exclusively. That was what I didn't get.

I meant all or any of them fam, that's why I wrote civilians. I know my civ5 terms.

Caravans, Archaeologists, Workers, Settlers, Inquisitors, Great people. Anything that doesn't have combat.

The Kiowa (Dohasan)
Start Bias: Plains
Capital: Kc-To
UA: Red River War
Cultural Specialists generate +2 to all yields, and all Great People are earned +15% faster, while the Empire is at war. Upon expending a Great Person, units gain Experience 1% faster (max. 67%).
UU: Koitsenko (replaces Great General)
Much faster than the Great General it replaces, the Koitsenko also grants a 33% Combat bonus against wounded Units. It also gains Experience when an enemy unit is killed in its radius; it may access promotion from the Recon and Mounted Units trees. These bonuses are granted to any unit stacked with the Koitsenko.
UU: Ledger Artist (replaces Great Artist)
Upon expending a Ledger Artist, a random Pasture or Camp in the Empire generates +2 Culture. Ledger Artists are earned 5% faster for each Kiowa City connected to your Trade Network (max. 30%).

Pretty ropey, I know, but it's at least something.
