Civ 5 Design Challenge II - Mechanics

So when is the deadline? I've had a couple of vague ideas knocking about in my head... figure I'll try to get one down if I can.

It ends on Thursday, 17/12.

Just post both!

Just post both!

Well, I'm running up against the deadline... so I'll give it a shot. If people object I'll take one out of the running. XD

The Institute

UA: Synthetic Society
Scientists produce +1 Production, and Engineers produce +1 Science. When a city increases in population, you may choose to instead create an Android Worker unit. Android Workers build improvements twice as quickly and cost no maintenance.

UI: Research Facility. Can be built with Engineering. Can only be built on resources that can be improved by a Mine or on Artifacts. Produces +1 Production and +1 Science, increasing to +2 of each with Education and +3 of each with Scientific Theory. Each Research Facility worked by a city increases military unit production by 5%.

UB: Android Factory. Replaces the Workshop. In addition to the bonuses of the Workshop, when a melee or gun unit is trained in a city with an Android Factory, you have the option of making it an Android. Android units are 25% stronger in combat, but cannot heal. An Android unit that begins its turn in an Institute city or on a Research Facility is restored to full health.

Mutants of the Wastelands

UA: Forced Evolutionary Virus
Melee and Gun units randomly start with the March, Sentry, or Mobility promotions. Enemy units that end their turn adjacent to a Mutant city get the Irradiated promotion, which prevents healing and may cause random mutations. Each city you found provides a free source of Uranium nearby.

UI: Toxic Waste Dump. Can be built with Metal Working. Cannot be built adjacent to each other. Generates +2 Production and +1 Gold, increasing to +3 Production with the discovery of Industrialization and +4 Production with the discovery of Atomic Theory, but negates any food bonus from the tile. Mutant melee or gun units that start the turn on or adjacent to a Toxic Waste Dump heal at an increased rate and get a 10% bonus to combat, while enemy non-Mutant units that end their turn on or adjacent to it get the Irradiated promotion. When built on Uranium, it increases the production of melee and gun units in the city by 10% if worked.

UU: Super Mutant. Replaces the Great General. Can fight as a combat unit with a strength equal to the most powerful melee/gun unit you can train, with an additional 25% bonus. Each source of Uranium you work adds to the rate at which Super Mutants are spawned.

Both are inspired by the Fallout universe. The first is inspired by the encounter with Dr. Zimmer in Rivet City in Fallout 3, and was my first design -- I thought the idea of being unable to heal suited androids perfectly. I haven't been able to play any of Fallout 4, though, and have so far avoided pretty much any spoilers, so I don't know if this society reflects that actual Institute in that game. :P

While brainstorming ideas, though, ended up thinking about a Mutant society that would have the reverse version -- enemies being unable to heal. I've seen a model I could use for a Toxic Waste Dump UI, so it ended up becoming an aggressive society that'd be hard to fight, with a lot of random mutations going on.

Given that my last design proposal didn't even get any votes, I'm not sure if it'll matter if I post two... but if people object I'll take one out of the running once I've had a decent night's sleep. :P

Wow thats a weird coincedence, I was going to do an Institute civilisation for mine, but I think that super mutant civ is really, really good. I've played fallout 4 though so was just a bit scared about including spoilers, so I never got round to finishing it.

There was a lot of civs present in this challenge, a lot of fictional civs (all civs proposed except one) but the one I'm going to choose is Natan's Coalition, cause Supcom! Kul's Kingdom of Kediri was close, but not enough.

Gotta go with Bouncymischa for this one. Nothing like the mix of science and production...

I'm voting for SgtWolf00's Karak Kadrin, because while I think a Slayer army could benefit hugely from 3/4UC (Goblin-Hewer, anyone?) and there are some things that I really think need work, well... I don't want him to feel left out. Plus, none of the designs interested me that much. Mine was garbage.

supper mutants for me pls

Voting for Russia.
