Civ 5 not recognising DirectX 11 on steam

Hi,

So a week or two before I got the steam is running in compatibility mode notice and I was able to fix it. Civ 5 worked on DirectX 11 before the notice and worked again after I fixed the problem. Now for some reason it will not let me play Civ 5 on DirectX 11 even though I have it installed and my graphics card is more then capable of running the game on high settings. I have also checked if steam was running in compatibility mode and it was and I deleted the files. I restarted my computer and I was still not able to play Civ 5 on DirectX 11. Every time I verify the game cache it says that there is one file missing and installed it but still nothing. What is going on here and does anyone know how I could fix this at all?

Does the game work in DirectX9?

Have you recieved the "All files varified successfully" message?

Have you tried to re-load DirectX?

1. Yes it works on DirectX 9
2. Yes but... After it says that everything is valid I go the registry and delete the files which make steam run in compatibility mode. After this there is one file missing and it installs the missing file but it doesn't fix it.
3. I haven't done that let but I don't think that is the problem but I will give it a shoot.

I fixed the problem. When I had the steam compatibility mode problem I thought I fixed it completely but there was some box that I needed to tick but forgot to.
