so, now that the new patch allows hotseat, I thought of an Idea, This Idea has been tried in Civ 3 and maybe Civ 4, but now we can do it in Civ V.

the story writer plays a hotseat game and writes about each one of the human players. I may or may not write a story like that, but if. But, something like this will take several years to finish, and may even die before the Medieval era (as has happened every attempt Ive seen done before). But I am also giving this Idea out to others who may want to do this.

Oh!!!! Dang it you almost took my idea, no one else spill any more beans because once I'm home from vacation I'm making a giant forum game!

It's going to be a big, multiplayer game where each person controls a unit which can be upgraded, changed and named(Not officially). Each player IM's me their battle moves while i show the turn and everythign that happens. th reason for IM is so that the other people can't react to all each other's moves. Otehr rules will come into place and other units can be acquired.

That would be an extremely long and boring game, from the fact that it would be really slow to develop and the unit would mostly be exploring and fighting barbs... No offence intended

I've been toying with the idea of trying to run my next forum game as a let's play video. (After COTE of course; can't manage 2 at once and committed to seeing COTE through to the end).

All the council session stuff handled off camera of course, can be time consuming to do and not very interesting to watch. But instead of a news report with screenshots of the game turns between council sessions, players getting to actually watch what happened.

Unfortunately, I know nothing about doing a let's play video. Any LP players out there interested in doing a how-to crash course?

I was thinking putting on a duel-sized world. Then they would eventually have to fight each other. I was thinking of giving out prizes for kills and instead of extra units, players have to ally with others to assemble more of an army. Unfortunately, you do have to worry about the wellbeing of those in your army and revolt of other units. The morale of the group is the only thing that is holding it together. I was thinking of speeding up time by awarding technology and placing new ruins and/or setting it on a faster game speed.
