It seems like firaxis has been recycling a lot of the UAs from Civ 5, like Russia is kinda the new Shoshone and Gorgo is the new Monty. So maybe we could take a look at the UAs that hasn't been recycled yet and speculate on what Jadwiga and Isabella's UA would be?

There were what, 43 civs in V? So there are still 20 or so UA to use :p

I wouldn't say that "a lot" of UAs have been recycled. But the sheer number of civs in CiV and the number of UAs in cVI (one for civ and one for leader) makes it hard to avoid. I don't really mind, I do think the overall flavour of civs are quite different and more diverse.

Statistically, there's a bigger chance neither Poland/Jadwiga nor Isabella get recycled UAs.

Isabella's ability could still be tied to natural wonders, or exploration in general, maybe bonus amenity or faith for discovering them?

Some of my favorites from Civ 5:

Byzantium: Can't be done with the current number of beliefs in the game. There are only just enough beliefs to allow every religion to choose one from each category on a huge map. The exception is pantheon beliefs, but I'm not sure letting a civ have two pantheon beliefs would be a very interesting ability, since most pantheons are only useful in the early game.

Celts: Their ability is now part of the Holy Site district that any civilization can build, so it probably doesn't need to come back.

Arabia: Using trade routes to hasten religious spread was a very interesting alternative to missionaries. I'd be surprised if we don't see this return in some form or another.

Siam: Their ability has been turned into the Papal Primacy religious belief that any civilization can include in their religion, so it probably won't return.

India's CIV V UA would be interesting. Bonus Housing in each city (+2 per era). Unhappiness for every city past the first.

What other civ is known for overcrowded cities?

Yeah, because so many UAs reappeared in civ6.

Aztec UA - did return, Gorgo
Shoshone UA - did return, Russia
Polynesia UA - partially returned, for Norwegian UA
Japan UA - partially returned, for Samurai unit
Denmark UA - partially returned, for Norway
Celts UA - partially returned, for Norwegian unit

...
Well, that's all or almost all. Six cases with half of them for Norway.

So where exactly do you see "a lot" of UAs recycled?

Agreed. Not only didn't they recycle many old uniques, i think they were much more creative this time with many uniques twisting the rules in some way rather than just giving you slightly better yield here or cheaper cost there.

I wish we could also get some of the abilities from the Community Balance Patch, which was really well done. Some of the really cool ones are:

USA - Same as Vanilla, but you can spend Gold to buy tiles even if they are already owned by another player (if this was in Civ 6 I assume this could only work on tiles without Districts)

Byzantium - You are always eligible to found a religion, and can select any belief even if others have already selected it. +1 additional belief.

Carthage - Receive a pile of gold upon founding a city

Huns - When your borders expand to a grassland or plains tile, automatically claim any adjacent tiles of the same terrain type

Iroquois - Treat all forest and jungles as road (not just in your borders like unmodded game, turns a very poor UA into an amazing one).

I must say that Vox Populi/CBP's Byzantium is kinda given to Arabia under a different method (Arabia is guaranteed a religion at least)
