Civ 5 won't launch since update

Hi,

For some reason Civ 5 will no longer launch since the update, I can still get on Steam and it brings up the initial Civ5 screen (offering Directx9 or 10/11 or the soundtrack). Steam says the last time I played was today but I had the same problem yesterday - I'm playing the UK GOTY edition and have not yet had any problems with the game. I also have no indication as to whether or not the update has been applied.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Try deleting the file clientregistry.blob in the folder where Steam is installed and then starting Steam up and try to play.

Thanks for the help! I verified the game cache and once it loaded through again it worked.
