Civ 6 - Gathering Storm

Finally New Zealand / Aotearoa are represented with the Maori civ.
Likely unique buildings are either Marae, or Pa forts with trenches.
Likely unique unit is the Mighty Maori Warrior.
- the Haka.

During the Sweden livestream today, I received a 10% discount from Aspyr via email for Gathering Storm. I have already bought it, but I do hope they are getting ready to release it concurrently or really right after. Regardless, I will be playing it on release day.

I posted this on the GS thread also:

As a Mac user, I am astonished to say the least. This is what Aspyr-Blair had to say on steam after a very to the point and well worded message was posted about Gathering Storm release by @adrifranchise and @cpenner01.

"I put the Apple logo on the store page for a reason :) We fully expect to launch Gathering Storm simultaneous with Windows. My friends at Feral do fantastic work. Simultaneous shipping is hard, and takes a lot of work from all sides. We did it with Civ V, and Borderlands, so we are proud to now finally be doing it with Gathering Storm"

Speechless, but so happy. I was going to use Nvidia GeForce Now again.

Lucky you. I haven't received that email yet. :(

I haven’t played the last few months. Was hoping rise and fall would come to iPad as I found I enjoy playing there more than Mac. But now with a new expansion... looks like I’ll be back to Mac next month!

Yep. I cannot remember the last time I was so stoked for Valentine's Day. It may have never happened before.

It only lists the PC version. Will the Steam keys allow you to download the Mac version too?

Yes. I bought R&F from them last year before release. And just so you know keys always let you access any platform once you activate them on Steam and you can switch from PC to Mac or Linux systems anytime. The only difference this time is that Aspyr is realeasing the Mac version on the same day as PC. So no waiting time!

Woo-hoo! Thanks.

That's great news but do you have a citation for it? The Aspyr website is still pretty coy about the release date ('coming soon', etc), I can't find any quotes saying that it's explicitly going to be released on February 14th.

This is the post I wrote here quoting the Aspyr Developer’text in Steam:

If you want to see it for yourself, go to Steam Discussions, click on The Official MacThread and go to Post # 1984 and 1986. You will see two of Aspyr-Blair posts. These are responses to Mac Civ Fans posts being respectfully critical of Civ VI previous release timetables. You can read a few post before these to get the gist of them.
