Civ 6 started stuttering like crazy

Cheers, for a couple weeks now my Civ 6 lags and stutters a lot when playing single player.

I have an Acer Predator 17 gaming laptop which has played Civ like a dream before.

I'm not that good with fixing computer problems, I wonder what could cause this problem?

Ok I started researching some hints I found online for help, and what helped for me was:
Playing game in windowed borderless mode
Disabling the new 2K Launcher
