Civ and finding THE ONE

If you saw a potential mate, found out that person is into civ, you would think:

  • Great! "Civ-ing" is one of the many things we can do together

  • Ok. At least that's one thing in common. Let's look for other common denominators.

  • The fact that the potentional mate plays civ doesn't factor in at all.

dear sirs and madams:

i have found that the people of this forum have forged a certain degree of affinity because of civ. The question up for poll is:

If you met a potential mate and found out that that person is as much a civ fanatic as you, you would think:

Knowing how much of my life has already been spent in front of a screen playing Civ2 and to a lesser extend Civ3, i would steer clear of them as there has to be SOME communication between the two!

Would hafta but another computer too... bugger that

My priorities for her fanaticisms would lie in other, less civilized areas of interest.
Of course, I also require a female with an equal or greater sex drive, but why not Civ as well? Then you have something to do all day : Wake up, love-making, food, Civ II, love-making, food, Civ II, love-making, food, Civ II, light snack, more Civ II, love-making, deep & pleasant sleep... repeat process until money runs out. :D

Those who play together stay together? That would be fine... If I am lucky enough to find a guy with similar interests - it can only be a good thing

Well, at first glance I thought this was another "The Matrix" reference.

It would be nice, but there are many other more important factors in finding a potential mate.....

I don't want her attention being taken from me by a stupid computer game! :D

And I certainly don't want to wait for my turn to use the computer!

I'd need another puter, but other than that, it would be nice if my spouce understood my addiction.

Let's face it, I'd be happy with a girl who doesn't roll her eyes at Civ. Chances are she won't "get it." As long as she isn't into Sims…

The solution to this dillemma is hotseat! My wife & I play hotseat civ2gold all the time. It's great fun.
Narz's post pretty much sums up some of our weekends.
:D

Mine had a brief stint with "Sims". She didn't have the patience for it, however. As for myself, I hated that stupid game.

LOL! me too...I wouldnt want a girl who liked civ unless they were both mentally and physcially attractive. I like girls i could talk politcs sometimes and other random things.

To those who think they would need to purchase another computer ... if this "potential mate" is a Civ fanatic, then chances are he/she comes with his/her own computer.

I'd think great, because I play a lot of video games, and if she likes Civ it's probably not the only computer/video game she likes.

It's a common interest, but one's compatability with another person is not necessarily based on common interest.

She'd sit right next to me on her computer civvin' away, and I'd be on mine, Sim Citying away. Then we'd eat and have *ahem* fun *ahem* *ahem*. Then we'd sleep. Then we'd go to our respective fullfilling jobs for 8 hours come back and contiue the cycle!

You are a lucky man! :goodjob:

How about Civ and finding the SIX?

Imagine six beautiful, intelligent women with whom you could play seven player MultiPlayer Civ with and then play... other games. :D
