Civ III Complete Run problems

I'm sure someone else has run into this problem with Civ III Complete. After installing the entire program and then trying to run the thing, I get this message: "Original Disc could not be found or authenticated." This is absurd given that the original disc is in my CDR drive and I just bought the thing today. How do I get the program running? My computer is up-to-date, same with the drivers, and I'm pretty sure it's not the background applications on this one.

Unfortunately, this is a recurring problem that's never really been fixed. In fact, there's a thread for it in this forum. You can browse it here. Try browsing that thread and seeing if you can get any of the workarounds in there to work. Good luck.
