Civ III + Dual 800 = KERNEL PANICS!!!

Not much. I turned off music and movies, but what really did the job seems to have been booting up in OS 9 and running Disk First Aid, which found and repaired some problems I didn't know I had. Since nothing else was giving me trouble, I assumed that the problem was in Civ, but I guess it wasn't.

Does Civ 3 use the multi-processor specifically and are there advantages? I have a Dual P3-800 setup and would like to use it if it is an advantage over my Athlon XP 1600.

I don't think so. Your Athlon should be a LOT faster than the dual P3. Civ III only uses one processor on the Mac, and, as far as I know, on the PC too. My problem turned out to be due to a flaky motherboard on a very early production system. When Apple replaced it under warranty, the KPs went away. Runs just fine now. :D

I figured my Athlon was faster and I guess you're right, that Civ 3 doesn't use the other processor. I just love playing the game anyway. :) Thanks for the reply.
