Hello,
I'm new to these forums, but have given up hope of this game getting fixed.
The game crashes my system constantly.
I am running an AMD Athlon 64 (3500+), 1 Gig RAM, NVIDIA GeForge 6600GT (ForceWare Ver 81.95), and XP (SP2)
Before the patch I would get the following message in the Event log:
The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: 1.
After the patch I am getting the above message and 2 new ones.
Fault bucket 245472259.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
And
Faulting application civilization4.exe, version 1.0.9.1722, faulting module civilization4.exe, version 1.0.9.1722, fault address 0x0065289e.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
Does anyone have any clues as to how to fix this, or even what is causing it?
DXDiag is attached.
Thanks in advance
Jim
