Just wondering if someone could make another civ with the Templar flag/icon and adding the new leader(s) and a templar special unit.

Not exactly a civ in the strict sense... Could be interesting nevertheless... So what Leader/Unit/Buildings would you suggest to use for them ?

Well, there have been this Kingdom of Jerusalem, which is the only "civ" which was really founded by crusaders from 1099 till 1291. This would be the historical most accurat civ. However the flag wasn't exactly the flag of the crusaders. I don't know if it would be close enough for Monitor.

Kingdom of Jerusalem (Wikipedia)

There have been two more or less known kings in this Kingdom, Baldwin I and Henry II of Jerusalem. Special unit of course some crusader knights (which can build fortresses ;) ), but I don't have a specific idea for a special building, maybe a place of worship beside of temples (monument, theatre, collosseum,...) or a millitaristic installation (city walls, barracks, horse stables,...).

The biggest problem would be the cities. I didn't look into the files but Jerusalem, Acre, Tripoli, Ascalon, Antioch might have been used by other civs allready, and there aren't many more known cities.

According to Wikipedia there have been Templar Grand Masters. Not really a king or nation leader, but nevertheless it would make more sense for a strict templar civ. Special units could be the basic run of the mill templar (white uniform, sword, red cross/+ sign centered on chest, red barrel like helmet full head helmet) and special buildings/building could be the Temple Mount (currently known as the dome of the rock). I have a possible idea for the city problem. The first city could be considered more of a 'command center' (working title). The Templar's would then branch out and attack and counquer other cities. The only inconvience would be that while you get a settler at start, you can't be allowed to build more.
