How will you be celebrating the release of Civ 7?

I've pre-ordered Founders, so I will hve early access. It's a Thursday and I will be WFH, which will allow me to start the download ASAP and begin playing immediately after I'm done working.
FTFY ... Gotta save a training or something mindless to do for Thursday afternoon ...

Feb. 6 is slated as the last day of my current project at work so I won't be able to play it as soon as it's available, but it's definitely what I'll be doing for the evening--and most of the next day if I am indeed done with work. Nice coffee is a given; I'm a coffee nerd and drink nice coffee every day. :D

I have the 6th and the weekend off but not the 7th, my wifi is absolute garbage though so praying I can preload on the 5th and the game isn't over 50gbs (it will probably be 60-80 :wallbash:)so I don't spend half my day off on the 6th waiting. Agree with others have said about coffee and a good breakfast! No alcohol or edibles for me to taint the experience.

Oh… and for me it’ll be tea… I have about 20 different tea type and flavors here at home and I DON’T drink any coffee… So my big decision for the day before start playing will be WHICH tea to choose for the occasion 😀
Some sort of strong black British breakfast! Irish is usually the strongest haha. There is also some good African and Chinese black teas as well. I recently moved and no longer have all the fancy hipster tea leaf shops nearby :( sad times.

This is my worry, I think moving to the new apartment with all the interference from other devises has nuked my Wifi, used to be butter fast and now it just isn't on somedays. (Must be some way I can fix, maybe I'll stop being lazy and test different band frequencies)
I say go for the tea with the most "International" flavor.

UK here, Scotland more specifically, but probably a prototypical UK thing to do will be done, a cup of tea and a few biscuits. Watch the intro movie as I sip and munch, but otherwise nothing major. Nothing fancy with the tea either just whatever make of tea bag I have at the time, today as I type it's Yorkshire, might be Scottish Blend come Feb 6 or Tetley or some other non-loose-leaf teabag brand. I'm more interested in the biscuit type, probably a nice hob nob for Civ 7. Hah, or an Empire Biscuit might be more apt.

Got a real-life doctor's appointment on that Friday and told people at work and friends I wanted to take the time off for the appointment and to work on my house on Thursday; while I probably will go to said checkup appointment begrudgingly, I will not do a thing besides be Emperor Napoleon, make the AI rue the day they decided to arbitrarily hate me for taking one city, step three profit.:c5gold:

Hopefully everyone can find their old box of Norman Breakfast tea. I think I’ll pick up a good stout for Thursday night and play until I hit a combination of “too tired to click next turn” and “that’s a satisfactory era transition to end on”. Friday is a semi-annual Friday work meeting that always seems to know when I most want to take a day off.

I'll hurry home after work on the 6th and play as much as I can. No plans for the weekend either, so I'll have plenty of time with it.

Edit: Don't know how I'll celebrate the release other than that, but maybe some midweek pepsi max lol.

I don't work on Thursday, so just gonna be playing all day, do work that Friday, but that Saturday is my birthday, so already had it off so am gonna be spending that day mostly in civ with a break for typical birthday stuff.

I've taken 6-9 off work, plan on playing the tutorial for about and hour, then jumping into a casual MP game with my friends on CPL, everyone is welcome to come! Coffee early in the morning...then beer or wine might follow lol

You might run an ethernet cable temporarily.
