Civ Reveals in previous games

Is there any knowledge of what order the leaders in early civ games (1-5) were revealed (I need it for a project)
Not sure if it’s the right section to post

In Civ 5, things were revealed via magazine articles. There weren't really spotlights on civs or leaders. You might glean their uniques from pictures or their abilities from interviews.

I see, I decided to list them by Civ order or by how they are ordered on the Civ wiki (for the Civ V expansion civs
This is for a random roster project I wanted to do as a joke with every single Civ leader (yes even the Beyond Earth leaders)

Pretty sure that for earlier Civ titles there was nothing like that.
Civ1 was more or less released before commercial internet services (or barely around) .
For Civ4 Firaxis ran some online cartoon promo, and I think that was all the online activities, but I'm not really sure .

Civ3 had weekly civ reveals through the summer leading up to the fall 2001 release. I don't remember the order, but I bet if you go through the Apolyton or CFC archives you could figure it out.

Civ3's weekly reveals came from the list of known 16 civilizations. They'd have a new "Civ of the Week" on civ3.com, starting with Babylonia and then the last two were Germany and America. When that new site launched, they posted all 16 civs at once as a list, and so people argued about which order they'd be featured in, but they weren't actually revealing them. By the time civ3.com launched, I think 12 or so of the civs were already known 100% from screenshots, previews or magazines, and most others were heavily suggested. The only real unknown were Aztecs, who were then confirmed when the site launched.

Just please nobody tell me that Civ3's launch doesn't qualify as a recent event.

Yeah, that's right. So I think the weekly reveals were what a civ's UU was going to be and what combination of traits the leader would have.

And in some cases who the leader would be, some (Germany, China) were definitely known for a time without their leaders being known.

Civ 6 has Hint Guide: Civilization II as a Voidsinger relic, and I fully expect a similar reference to appear in Civ 7.

For Civ4 BtS, I put in a random event where discovering Computers could lead to someone developing a popular computer game about all of human history.

I remember the Civ4 reveal just being a list on a website, with the animated portraits of the leaders being present as wel l (I remember it vividly because both Justinian and Suryavarman II gave me a MASSIVE jumpscare at the time)
