Heh, if your civ is biased to start in hilly / mountainous areas then that's the clean power you'll use. But yeah, it sure seems excessive.

Meanwhile, in my latest game my capital is another city with three rivers that flood and therefore three dams. Will be wonderful once I get hydro-electric. No need for wind, that's for sure. :)

I'm trying Korea to see how quickly they can get a science victory in GS. Unfortunately I forgot that the dam counts as district that reduces the seawon's science output by one. Sigh.

Several weeks after launch and I finally found an opportunity to build the Panama canal where it kinda sorta makes. It's just a peninsula so I'm not saving that much time, but it's still cool.

    Nice!
And it means you can build ships without having them stuck in the lake forever, unlike a certain AI.

With the lake in the middle there, it looks more like the proposed Nicaragua Canal. Nice work!

Who can resist this? Skiing amidst the scenery of a lost Mayan city.
I don't know, but there is just something weirdly beautiful about snowy ski resorts in the middle of lush rainforest. The color contrast looks nice.
By the way, strangely enough more tourists would rather visit the nearby geothermal vent (I guess hot springs feel nice after skiing) or even the nearby banana plantation than the ski resorts themselves.

That wooden bridge in the ocean... hmmmm ... it was either built illegally for entertainment purposes (jumping in the water back and forth) ... or it's a clue for Atlantis? :D

    Bonus pic:
It's just so oddly satisfying placing a +7 science Campus .... ahhhhh  (I almost placed it south, in the middle of that mountain circle... still need to adapt to GS :crazyeye:)

As part of a trade deal, Hungary sold off a surplus bridge and those three boats are towing it over to the new owner. :)

A while back I had a similar "bridge to nowhere" but at least it was on land.

Seriously, what’s up with that bridge?

And, yes, that campus looks awesome.

Okay Gilgamesh literally just finished the Golden Gate Bridge this turn and it's out to a one-tile island that is already flooded. Worth

It's just a random graphics glitch that disappears if you reload, maybe sooner. My example is here and notice that it's not even on hex edge where a river would be.

Gotcha. Hasn’t happened to me yet. But it is hilarious. Thanks for clarifying.
