And the one science point. I was more confused, because I don't have GS xD. Without fissures it is impossible to have more than +6. (oh Australiaaa, Netherlaaands...)
 
I had a naturally-occurring +9 campus in my current game! It was a similar set-up with mountains and fissures nearby. Will have to dig out the screenshot when I get home...
 
As promised:

The city is built on a geothermal fissure... meaning, with the two other adjacent fissures and three mountains, I get a +9 campus :eek:

By the way, does anybody know why the stepwell at the top has so many hammers? Its boosted by Petra and 1 Nazca line, but the other one at the lower part, which is built the same way, gives 2?
What am I missing?

yes there were a couple of events, but the final result before placing petra was 2 hammer tile. Unfortunately my oldest save file is some turns after the screenshot so I cant verify. Heres another shot from the climate events. That haboob dust storm, landed straight on top of Hydebarad, I remember that one well heheh, but I cant recall seeing it with so many hammers. Can a dust storm improve a single tile so much?

If I remember correctly, "Fertilized Tiles" is inaccurate tooltip, it's more along the lines of "Amount of Yields Provided". So yeah, that Dust Storm looks like the source. I wouldn't say it should fertilize that hard but you may have it modded.
 
Hm I dont have any gameplay changing mods, save from walls for city states. It must have been the dust storm, or several. I was looking around and I saw a 7hammer solar plant on a plain desert tile with petra too. Impressive eitherway. Thanks! Suddenly I look at deserts in a whole different way aside from the mandatory Petra location :D

I suppose I will... This is how the RNGesus tests us. Fine, I will not pick that turtle fruit from the Galapagos tree... Or.. will I?
21 bloody beakers of forbidden knowledge... why, Yerevan, why...

Come to think about this, this does not belong to the 'funny' screenshots. 'Tragic' screenshots thread would be much more like it :)
