This is what the Vikings were known for, right? Being afraid to explore very far from land because of the edge of the world, right? .... right?

That's because he explored way too far and saw horros that he's trying to save others from witnessing

Speaking of agendas, I love how the money-related agenda is about Gold in Treasury. Imagine spending millions on developing cities and self-defense and other worldly leaders are like 'LOL u poor'.

EDIT: Wait I just read about it and it seems they react to spending the gold, not even the Treasury. Even odder.

Not sure how this skirmisher got there. You may be thinking there's a barbarian encampment in the fog to the East, but I later found out there wasn't, just another mountain. And no, he wasn't bounced back from my Hussar which I didn't own at the time of this picture.

I couldn't hunt him down until I built a tunnel. Not the greatest city site you may be thinking, but it later turned out to have 2 sources of oil. Good thing since coal was so scarce on this map. I like this horseshoe shaped continent on this map.

If I raze Yerevan... will I go to hell?

I suppose I will... This is how the RNGesus tests us. Fine, I will not pick that turtle fruit from the Galapagos tree... Or.. will I?
21 bloody beakers of forbidden knowledge... why, Yerevan, why...

Come to think about this, this does not belong to the 'funny' screenshots. 'Tragic' screenshots thread would be much more like it :)

Well, as long as you honor the departed with a small mausoleum, it should be ok. I happen to know a guy who makes a deal, a dude named Halli Carn Ast, he as a surplus stone in his backyard :smoke:

How does rebel spawning work? Couldn't he be a rebel spawned from a city at bad spot?
Then again I think only melee and ranged can be rebels.

Disgustipated is a long time forum regular, I highly doubt he's had rebels spawn at any point during all his hours in Civ VI. They're not hard to avoid for experienced players.

I almost missed this tiny little wonder, surrounded by all those big mountains. That single tile benefits greatly from the "adjacent tiles" bonus :D I wonder if the Aztec would receive it from the mountain tiles (they are in the game as well)
(...also it reminds me of Isengard...)

That is a good question indeed. Should not be too hard to test using the world builder. Also I am sure you meant to say Inca instead of Aztec, considering Pachacuti is in the game and Aztec do not get a mountain bonus.

I've had Inca cities with natural wonders next to mountains: the mountains do in fact get the bonuses.

Hah, well I do actually like big cities, so yes I do build neighborhoods. But no, I've never seen a skirmisher spawn, not to mention it's too early for rebels to spawn since I don't have neighborhoods. I generally don't mind rebel spawns too much, I've learned my lesson to have troops on hand to deal with them in a single turn if possible (not always possible if you have railroads and they move far away). This mechanic doesn't bother me too much other than the fact that they can spawn and pillage in the same turn which I think is bogus.

I was thinking AI units were up against a barbarian encampment forcing the skirmisher to spawn there, but an encampment shouldn't spawn if units are nearby. Maybe city state units don't count?

Love that devil's tower surrounded by mountains. Would be pretty cool if that happened in real life (though probably wouldn't happen since erosion patterns wouldn't be the same).

When you kill the scout while its camp still exist, that scout will eventually respawn after some time (how much? never was able to find out really...). But I think the algorythm for scout respawn is at the closest tile from the camp. It that said camp had spawned some troops, and the IA enclosed them, maybe the closest tile would have been that valley?? It is still strange, since the cities are quite old and the skirmiser is rather close to the player troops (so shouldn't have spawned that long ago). Maybe the camp was on Swidnica location, and quickly destroyed???
