Civ VI Funny/Strange Screenshots

They'd just conquered it that same turn, I just wanted to buy Geneva's indepedence back.

Also, I think the map generator bugged out a bit:

(maybe that's why everyone keeps declaring war on Buenos Aires, to the point that I built a fleet to declare protectorate wars)

Sorry for being OT, but are you using a mod to make the terrain look more pale? I could swear the map is more colorful in my games. Or is it a certain time of the day that you fixed?

Talk about carrying coal to Buenos Aires.

Not using anything. Could just happen to be a certain time of day, judging from the shadows it seems like it's early morning (remember, sun rises in the west in civilization), or maybe it's because there's not a single grassland tile in sight, only plains, desert and water. And it might matter that I got the grid turned off, which reduces contrast.

(by the way, sitting out a culture victory is boooooooooooooooooooooooring)

Was playing a Culture Game yesterday as Perciles. I got about.. well I was within 5 points away form victory, I'm like "yes one more eturn".... took about 10.. why? Because America decided to enhance it's culture and the number kept going up faster than my tourism output, so I was like OH GOOD LORD.

For some peace and quiet, I suggest you find another beach resort. The neighbours can be noisy at this one.

Yeah... Turn 36 and the Melbourne is Gilgamesh' capital... Now that does make one curious as to what happened.

Haven't went through this entire thread, but has anyone seen silk on a mountain before? This is the first time I've seen this. This is with the YnAMP mod with a Terra map, but I still haven't seen it with even that map type before.

Looks like a bug, forest on mountain shouldn't exist either.

If I may ask, how did you manage to get something of a continent? No matter what I try - even putting most of the possible areas in the script to Pangaea - I always seem to get islands and the like playing YnAMP Terra.

Yeah it did turn out quite large. I actually prefer more coastal areas, but most of my cities are inland this game. I have plenty of space this game, though I took out the Romans who started out in the Northern part of this continent. I believe I added 2 more civs to the default for Standard 2:1. I've been messing around with terra a bit more lately, but I still haven't tried all the settings.

The main difference in this game than my Aztec game (I have a screenshot in the trouble with Suzerains thread near the end) is for the "Old World Shape" option I chose select landmasses. But then when I saw the number of things available to be changed, I didn't want to mess around with that many settings, so I kept them all at the default. But I did keep the Select landmasses option for Old World Shape. Map shape is multiple scripts of course. New World Shape I kept at default landmasses.

The ynaemp maps can load resources on mountains. I've had various resources on mountains.

@Leyrann hmmm.... The terra map is pretty good at giving me pangeas. What is your sample size?

Not sure exactly, but I've continuously increased the rate of continents and pangaea and then done reveal all until I was like "meh it's not gonna work" and just started playing non-terra scripts instead again.

Thinking more about it I think that the set way in which they are created, with a shape that always kind of resembles earth, is also part of what put me off. I want to play terra for the continent that's free to colonize, not for an earth-like map.

I've had great success with Terra Maps when customizing Old/New World. Just switch some of the small continents to large, and large continents to pangea. Heck, switch most to pangea if you want. I do enjoy making the Middle East small islands or whatever is even smaller (like Oceania) just to make a navigable path to the Far East.

I haven't saved any screenies for a long time, but in my current game I am about to settle "Panama" and the Galapagos are in reach!

I realize that I have no Zone of Control on the water tiles, but still, I wonder how they're supplying the city over that lake.

EDIT: I mean, it didn't really matter because I literally conquered it in one turn from this situation, but still...

Now this is one I haven't seen before...

Can you please explain? I don't get what is strange about this picture.

Took me awhile to see it too. Look at the path of the trade route - it inexplicably doesn't take the most direct route to the city and swerves round the IZ
