Civ1 DOS Succession Game!

IIRC, we wanted to conquer the world.IMAO, however, we should hold off from the French for a moment and concentrate on building infrastructure, RRs to nearby civs, beefing up our cities, etc. I would like to have a lot of disorder-proof high-production cities before any major war.(though that may be a lofty goal) I'd kill science, too, except that I think Rifles would be a very good thing to have.

800: Barbarians take Tours.
T1 820: The USA discovers horseback riding (how hard can it be?)
Attacks on our troops from both the French and the Russians.
T2 840: Thung Song, Knossos riot.
We retake Tours.
Some military losses to the French near Orleans.
T3 860: Kiev riots, USA overthrown.
2 cannons defeat 2 Orleans rifleman defenders.
T4 880: Corinth riots, USA becomes monarchy.
Phuket finishes the marketplace, begins rifleman.
We take Orleans, cannon over musketman, rifleman occupies.
We take $98, and refuse to talk with Napoleon.
No new tech from the French.
USSR takes Kiev, $9, gunpowder.
T5 900: Da Nang riots, France overthrown, Tak begins aqueduct.
T6 920: Pharsalos -> market
Antioch settler -> rifle
Nishapur -> market
France becomes monarchy.
USA and France trade electricity and atomic theory.
Barbarian leader is captured, our treasury gets an extra $100.
T7 940: Ubon Ratcha -> Aqueduct
Sara Buri -> market
Delhi -> cannon
Invasion of the Paris coast is underway, our troops begin to surround Paris from the east.
Barbarians land at Athens.
T8 960: Cannon falls at Paris, the French learn industrialization.
Barbs leave Athens undefended.
T9 980: Lop Buri market -> bank
2 cannons destroyed at the Paris gates to riflemen.
Chariot leaves Corinth to defend Athens, destroys 2 barbs.
T10 1000: Barbs take Athens and the pyramids.
In an effort to knock down the walls, diplomats go on a craze in Paris, destroying the aqueduct, university, and bank.
2 cannons are defeated at Paris.
This just isn't our day.
There is minimal to report on, as the wars go on as usual.
Strangely enough, the USA thinks we are at war, we think we are at peace.
France and USSR are at war with us.
Everyone else has peace.

We're playing on king. If you read through all the turn logs from the start, you should be able to figure the tech order pretty well. We had no grand plan or anything (at least noone told me about one

It's really not hard to get modern early in Civ 1. I've had armors before 1 AD on king level 
And if you play emperor you have to be modern at 1000 AD at last, cuz the AI will be modern by then too. I remember my first emperor game, in which I had just discovered gunpowder in 1100 AD when American Armors suddenly landed on my island. No need to say how the game ended

Yeah, it should be added to the standard Civfanatics smilies. It's very useful in threads like this.
Sorry guys, I wasn't able to play last weekend, so I missed my window. I'm trying to keep this game going at a steady pace, so someone else go before next Mon, or I'll go then.
CFC has a lot of smilies I would never use(like 700 gun smilies), and not enough of the ones I always use. Poly is much better in that regard. Also, there's a limit of like 10 images to a post.(here)
