Pondering Wearing A Hat
I just got a new laptop after saving up for one for a year or so, and of course it comes with Windows 7. After installing it using ainwood's helpful walkthrough, I booted it up to notice that the in-game resolution had gone down from 1366x768 (the recommended resolution for my laptop) to 1024x768 (which is what my Windows XP PC had). I thought to myself, "Okay, lemme ALT+TAB out here," and noted that my entire computer's resolution had gone down to 1024x768.
I then went to switch the resolution via the desktop, but once I went back to the original setting (1366x768), the game crashed on me.
Is there a way to fix this issue? I'll live with it if I have to, but I would much rather prefer a full screen to play with (I usually alt+tab back and forth from internet browsing to playing civ3, and having my internet at 1024x768 isn't fun here).
I'm using a brand new Dell Inspiron 15R, with an AMD Radeon HD 6470M video card. Is there any other information that is needed?
Thanks!
edit: Fixed. After some internet research, I discovered that the trick was to add KeepRes=1 to the end of the .ini file. The main menu stayed the same, but the game was fullscreen. It also shrunk my other windows, but that is easily fixable.
