I've always wanted to play Civ/SMAC on a big screen and found it by default when experiementing with an Extended Desktop for some film editing.
I don't know whether it was the installation of the Screen Spanning Doctor Applescript, or just plugging in a Video Adaptor to my iMac's Video port, but I can now get a full vision of my games, without the two black stripes down either side on the 17" screen. It's slightly extended, but the eye gets used to it very quickly. Quite impressive.
Also, I've now seen my game on a huge TV screen in another room, and was able to play it using a wireless mouse. Hmmm, if I could only fit that TV into my over-crowded office/gamesroom ...
