Civ4 Beyond the Sword Release Dates

Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword expansion pack is coming out in just 60 days! GameSpot and EBgames both list July 2, 2007 as the release date, while on Amazon.com it's July 10, 2007. The listed price for the expansion is $29.99. Amazon.com and EBgames are already taking pre-orders.

Beyond the Sword is the second expansion pack for Civ4. So far not much is known about it other than the info released in the announcement and the two developer articles.

Given the large disparity in dates, I wonder if these are the "release to shipping" dates and not the "on store shelves" dates. Remembering back to Civ4, we all thought it would be available on a date and then found out it was a week or more later that the physical box appeared at the store.

I think I might skip this one for a while. The civ expansions are expensive as hell if you look at what they offer. I have loads of fun with my current set of the vanilla and warlords set, but I really wonder what Warlords is adding for me at the moment.

Not to mention, not 1 addition is adding so much, as the modding community together...for free...I only want them to do 1 thing, FIX THE MAF!
that's worth 30eur..everything else, no need for firaxis for that..just publish the exe SDK to let the community fix the MAF..since Civ4 was released in November 2005 the MAF is out there bugging people who like EPIC games..and now, 1,5year later, not 1 single attempt of firaxis to fix it...pretty bad..won't pay 30eur for the next MAF release
