civ4 BTS vs windows8

I have new computer with windows 8 (64 bit). I started to play civ4 BTS 3.19, ROM mode and I experienced problems with graphics. Sometimes immediately sometimes later, some strange lines appear on the screen hiding more and more of the screen. Sometimes the game crashes because of that. I didn't have such problems with my previous computer.

New laptop specification: i5-3210M, RAM: 8gb, graphics: integrated and Nvidia GeForce GT640M

Any ideas?
