Civ4 is now too Big?

Anyone know how 'big' Civ is now. My laptop Harddrive is filling up fast and with all these patchs is muct be in excess of 5gb now. Any way of reducing this? I'm running Civ 4 with BtS plus patch 3.17 and the latest one.

the patches while large in themselves don't add much since they mostly overwrite stuff - but you can easily check how large it is onyour computer - just go to the install folder and right click on it and choose properties...

That said: 5GB is probably the right ball park - Complete (including Civ4, Warlords, BtS and Colonization) plus a dual install of BtS and a few rather large mods clock in at about 7.5GB on my machine

ok i think its because the patchs are still on my system so i guess after i install i can delete the file as it will 'update' the nessesary files in Bts? (and then remain as a exe file?)

you can delete the patch - yes - they are stored in my games\<gamename>\patches just in case you need them for a reinstall...
