So my Civ3 installation disc finally went out, and I want a newer Civ. Will Civ5 run on this laptop?

What does it mean when a "disc goes out"? You lost/broke it?^^
Err anyway - is that laptop already yours or are you planning on buying it? My answer depends on your answer to this question
When you already own it, then yes, the game will run on it. Very very very very poorly. Not kidding.
If you didn't buy it yet, then no, the game will not run on it^^
An i3-2350M is ok. An i5-2450M/2430M would be even better.
Intel HD Graphics 3000 is NOT enough for CiV. You will need a newer and dedicated graphics card (AMD/Nvidia).
In Germany you'd have to pay around 600 for such a model. Not sure how the situation is in the States... or in Georgia (You know... I first though it meant the country, but obviously your link is an US site/store).
I want to mention the Dell Vostro 3550 - as this one is probably easily available for sure in the states and it's a very solid model for it's price.
Oh well... there's the Vostro 3550 with a HD 6630M (should be okay, unless you can spent more money - there's still a lot of room for a better performing rig) [also be careful that the model you chose has the graphics card included!] on the US Dell site for $649: http://configure.us.dell.com/...=vostro-3550

Anyway. Maybe you can get it a bit cheaper from a retailer.
