civ5 goty: Where to put the mods?

Hi all, just wanna ask why there is in the programfiles/sid meijer/civ5 no mods folder is.
I have the Goty civ5 download but when i download the mods and put them in de origanal instalationmap ther is no mods folder so i can put it there.
i hope this make sense because my english is not that good, speaking no problem but writing is another thing. I hope there is an answer. greetings odinxdaniel

It's in your user directory.

Something like C:\Users\username\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization V\mods.

Or under XP, C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization V\mods.)
