Hallelujah! Will we finally be able to grow a little turnip of our own on those tiles for 1 food? Or maybe, just maybe... a great big turnip in the country for whole 2 food? Please, let those biggest ambitions in life become reality!

And... please, don't stop lurkin'... and lettin' us know, of course, of us being lurked upon :D
So now we're dreaming of Strait of Gibraltar with double-sided rocks..

Along with the Cliffs of Dover balance changes mentioned above, Anton also said:
We spent a lot of time going over updates from the DLC1 patch because, in the excitement of the New Frontier Pass announcement, we had not had the chance yet to talk about the balance and exploit changes that were specifically rooted in feedback from you, our fans.

Future game update videos will probably focus more on just the new content and balance coming, and trust me, there's a lot of it! One feature in the next update is something I personally programmed and think is super exciting, aimed at normal games of Civ instead of scenarios.

In the meantime, give Red Death Season 2 a try when it goes live this Thursday! It is a quick and fun experience, and might even help you refine your tactical gameplay for the main game. Great with friends, or with strangers online via matchmaking.

Once again there is a private video on the New Frontiers playlist on the Civilization VI Youtube channel. It's a bit too early for Ethiopia, unless they release it in the beginning of July. Another patch video?

I think that this update is/seems rather small for a couple of reasons:

3.The video was quite confusing and maybe not all they have done was even said or properly analyzed.

For example, the change to cliffs of Dover. The update ain’t so small after all.

That video has been there since last week. They put two private videos up last Tuesday instead of one. We don't know what it could be yet.

My guess is a video related to Red Death 2.They seem to have reworked all the factions and some mechanics,so it would make sense to focus it all in one video, especially because they didn’t cover it in much lengths in the patch video. Could also be a trailer for it.

When are they going to announce their next game? The next 'Beyond Earth' or whatever the 'we're going to put out a game with this engine while we work on the next big thing' is?

I think Red Death was basically that.

So that just leaves these rubbish Natural Wonders:

Chocolate Hills
Gobustan
Pantanal

And these disappointing ones:

Ubsunur Hollow
Mount Everest
Lake Retba

Hopefully a few of them will get rebalanced too. A good test would be to double the yields on them and think if they would be OP or not
Chocolate hills - 1f/2p/1s -> 2f/4p/2s: okay, that would probably be a little strong, but not a ton better than a good Torres del Paine spot, worse even still given you can't improve them.
Gobustan - 3c/1p -> 6c/2p: I mean, even at a 6 culture tile, that's not a lot better than the best Paititi-tile, and Paititi is only a bonus onto base tile yields
Ubunusur - 1f/1p/2fa -> 2/2/4: Not OP in the least. It's a good yield for the tundra, but not even a great yield for a tile compared to some
Everest - 1fa to adj -> 2 fa to adj: Like the Matterhorn, the yields are minor compared to the bonus. But even the bonus is just ok. Matterhorn you get a combat bonus and movement bonus, feels like Everest they could easily do something like "apostles gain a promotion moving next to Everest", and yeah, that would be strong, but still highly situational. Or perhaps at least it should give all religious units moving next to it a +5 combat strength, or an extra charge.
Retba - 1p/2g/2c -> 2p/4g/4c: doubling it would certainly make them strong tiles, but the lack of food doesn't make it a crazy yield.

Otherwise, it's still hard to balance some wonders like the Dead Sea or the Matterhorn, which have low yields, but a solid secondary effect. And I don't think every tile needs to be "fountain of Youth/Paititi"-level strength. But yeah, all the ones you listed at least are ones where I see them and are like "okay, cool. So what was I doing before?" rather than the ones like Torres, Galapagos, Great Barrier Reef, Eyja..., etc where I see them and immediately think if I can find a city spot nearby to make use of them.

But you left out the very, VERY most disappointing NW . . .

the Grand Canyon. ;)

Re: AI and planes

They are definately using them more now, but I agree it should be made easier for AI to build them.

Make aerodromes a civilian district, generating amenities, culture and tourism, depending on them being adjacent to city centres, wonders and national parks.

Allow building planes in Encampments, making runway, hangar and airport alternative buildings to barracks/stables, armory and military academy.

I also thought that you'd need to have the choice for aerodrome. I mean, all the use of aerodromes in Civ 6 is military while in the real world the vast majority is targeted to civilian use.
They have to let us the choice between building military and civilian buildings. Some that help tourism and some that help military. Make for example that every improvement generating culture generates tourism too but only if you build the adequate buildings in your city, not just because you discovered the flight technology. So many times I have so much tourism from my châteaux and my alcazars without having any aerodrome in all my empire.

Yes, exactly.
But I suggest to move military planes to Encampments, so that AI would have less trouble building them, Encampment itself would be prerequisite for fighters and bombers, and alternative buildings would accelerate acquisition of XP.
And civilian only Aerodromes should probably have 6 tile regional coverage, not adjacency, as I said before, to boost tourism on respective structures (wonders and national parks first of all) and amenities on cities. It would be more sensible way to boost tourism and less micro intensive than shepherding rock-bands across the world.

I've tinkered with the idea that biggest missed opportunity is giving each district dual purpose.

- Campus - Wide vs Tall, where it rewards yields based on if the city is going ot be high pop or low pop.
- Theatre Square - Culture vs Tourism, where it generates more Great Works, or boosts the Tourism output.
- Commercial Hub - Gold vs Trade, where Gold helps generating more Gold, while Trade increases the Trading opportunities.

Each district would have two sets of buildings tht you can mix and match to suit your needs.
