Alas, former Emperor Snefix has thrown himself from the Palace walls and cannot continue in this game. Kittino Lambini , perhaps you have a cousin you can place on the throne? 
Anyway, I am placing a 48 hour hiatus on this game until a replacement is found, if nobody wants the country, I will place it in CD and go with the 4 sets of orders I have already received, if a new player steps in, I will allow orders to be changed and extend the deadline slightly longer.
...Or you can just vote a winner now and get this bloody mess over with!

He must have heard the sound of our artillery to the South getting closer each day and dispaired, knowing that he would receive no mercy from one he had tried to trick (well history is written by the winners
).
As I see things the path to Italian domination of Europe is clear of obstacles and even if it wasn't it would merely be open for the English who have given no reason for anyone to love them. Surrender now to Kittino Lambini and you can expect reasonable terms to be dictated down to you

The Foundation of the 2nd Roman Republic looks to be not more than 2 years away with war, a mere day or two by diplomacy, may the remaining leaders of Europe choose the fate of their peoples quickly!

Russia escaped the british navy and fled to Stockholm, France played the ostritch to perfection yet again, and the Italians took the last Austrian home centre, while their little Clyde army was stuck in the Northlands due to English continental muddling!

I'm on dial-up until March 11, when the high-speed kicks in (it's Bell, a former crown corporation, so they're a little slow...)
I'll hit MSN on the 12th, probably. I don't know about "debating" the laws of piracy, though. I always remember something more sanguine, like me saying "I hate pirates," and you saying, "oh well, that's terrible, can you excuse me for a moment while I go and download something?"
More to the point, though, I have something to say about 005.

Although it would be amusing to allow Russia to retreat to Denmark and continue his lap around Europe, he NMR'd, so any retreating unit is disbanded. Thus no more Russia, thank you Richardovich III for a thrilling performance.
In other news, Italy pushed the Austrians back in the South with gusto, while the Austians saved face by taking Berlin from the retreating Brits (the map shows England with a retreat, but that was just my error, it actually moved, so the only country retreating anything is Austria). France holds on for dear life and was largely ignored, much to their joy. Elan is alive and well...
