CivDiplomacy in Moderation..

Grand Marshal Smashnova,

prepare your Cossacks. The main armies have opened the enemy lines after many long years of patriotic battle. The 20,000 horsemen and our new armoured car division in their Fords can now envelop and enfilade the remnants of their troops. We want as resounding a victory as those stalwart and famous French achieved against their traditional enemies the English and Germans!

(Smashnova) Thankyou my Tsar, your faith in me shall not be in vain. We shall share a toast of Stolichnaya in Constantinople before the campaign is complete.

(Tsar) Join me in the command vehicle Smashnova.
:tank:

To: Tsar Admaski of the Russian Steppes

You have two years to do it! Hopefully your new Ford tanks will be enough to invent the Blitzkrieg.

From: King Carolus Magnus of France

(The Tsar) Admiral Baretsky, where are the navies?

(AB) Your Highness, our fresh armada in the Black Sea awaits our orders. The others are vodka soaked garrisons.. its, unmentionable! The entire Northern fleet :spank: has been reported looting and er ... pillaging amongst the Norman towns. Regrettably sir, the pirates and cutthroats among those wily
Balts :viking: could not be contained indefinitely.

(tsar) Well, they have earned their plunder. Let us prepare the final extermination of the Turk.:king:

(AB) As you wish it, my Tsar

Fall 1913

This turn took along time for three reasons:

1. Late orders given in.

2. Deliberation as to what I should do concerning Turkey. I have decided.
Turkey will be replaced by another player...I have done the obvious defensive move
for Turkey to the obvious threat, quite in keeping with the turtle strategy Turkey is playing.

3. Lazy GM.

Newsflash!

Serbia and Rome fall to Russian and French troops respectively...

Austrian Army retreating in good order towards Macedonia...

Signs that the "Great War" is running out of steam as most of
Europe enjoys peace.

Cynical Russian attack on Turkey thwarted.

FALL 1913 RETREAT

Austrian retreat:

A Serbia - Greece

You have till 1 pm this Saturday to get your builds/disbands in for this Winter, hopefully I will also be able to announce the new Turkish player unless Snefix can find the time to actively partake of the final rounds of this game.

Italy: Disband 2
Russia: Build 2
France: Build 2

With all due respect Mr. Chaos, but this game is over in one year, is it really necessary to replace anyone? Turkey will finish third regardless, not a bad showing for a comatose Sultan! :king:

I think that the Sultan is doing what he wants...

A pity right?

And precisely WHO is going to win in two turns... I'm biting my nails to figure out who can pull this one off...

Hmmm, Russia vs. France with a comatose Turkey, sounds familiar?

No, not about you, about me and Magnus' game at Redscape...

The game looked similiar to this, and the Turk did almost the same thing.

Winter 1913 - Civdip003

We have a new Turkish player...I'd like you all to welcome the Civfanatic "Daaraa".

His (I presume) e-mail address is: ereid1@hotmail.com

Business of this Winter...

Builds/Disbands

France builds: A Paris and A Marseilles

Russia builds: A Moscow and A Warsaw

Italy disbands: F Adriatic Sea, A Naples

Attached is map of situation at the start of Spring 1914 and the realpolitik file.

Due to the fact we have a new player who may need some instruction and I'm sure will be host to some diplomacy the deadline will be for 12 pm this coming Friday whatever your local time is.

From the Associated Press:

Constantinople – A coupe attempt has begun and finished all before anyone knew what had happened. The Sultan who has been asleep, for an undisclosed amount of time, has been deposed. World leaders are struggling to find out more about the Finance Minister who has seized control of the government with the aid of bankers and others in the financial industry.
Details are sketchy but it apparently involves a small group of people known as the FEF (Future Enron Fellows) and policemen who wanted to get paid with gasoline, not chickens.
The newly formed government issued a statement saying that the Sultan is still “asleep” and the form of government will not change however communication with other great leaders of Europe is essential to our prosperity. “We invite all Great Leaders of Europe to Be Our Guests and enjoy some Turkish Dates as a Diplomatic gift.”
As the country has been asleep for a while live chat is not very reliable nor is it feasible. However, written correspondence and the mail service in the country are excellent.
Details to follow as this new government figures out just what everything is all about.

Deadline coming soon...get those orders in!

Now ;)

Nice to see your newsflash Daaraa :king: it will be interesting to see if the Russian Bear has indeed woken a sleeping dog ("let sleeping dogs lie" being the correct expression, not in effect, "let sleeping giants lie").

:nuke:

Newsflash!

The Italian Fleet becomes homeless.

Turkish Navy pops out for a cruise of the Island of Lesbos in the Aegean. Silly Russians attempt to take advantage of the situation :p

French forces position themselves for final victory.

Place your bets: "Will Austria survive 1914" With French troops assisting with the construction of trenchs near Trieste and Fiume the propects are perhaps not so bleak for this embattled Nation.
