CivDiplomacy in Moderation..

We need a game for dedicated players...pity is that the GM's we have at present ARE part of that small number...and I certainly don't want to sit out of a game.

In civdip001 and the new game we do not need good players, what we realy need is constant players. It sucks if you make plans and talk to a person for a lot of rounds and he quits. New Person, new deal, a lost year and so on...:cry:

Kitten has a good point, and maybe we really should consider somebody's suggestion - whereever it was made - that we "communalize" the GM position and just have someone adjudicate via realpolitik with "scrutineering" or whatever to make it all honest, and appoint someone else to remind everyone to file, etc.

But obviously, though, thanks to our policy of cc:ed e-mails during 001 through 003/in moderation, that doesn't help us much, because it sure as hell wouldn't be fair for me to be Italy knowing full well that Albania is going to attack it this turn...

Vienna News Bulletin:

From the Imperial Military Office of Austria-Hungary:
"After the notorious betrayal of the Tsar and Russia, the advance on Vinna has been stopped and the Russian armies have been since in retreat back to Galicia. This was accompanied with a successful Turkish attack on Sevastopol. Austria-Hungary plans to continue the war with Russia and offer the Sultanate her sincerest thanks."
This comes as great news to the Austrian people along with the taking of Sevastopol by her Turkish allies in the East. Austria's army has been reeling from the attack on Galicia, but the Austrian people feel that they are at long last protected from the Russian bear.
There is a celebratory parade in Vienna scheduled to take place on December 1st, 1901.

Lots of noise on the Eastern Front... :king:

So Snefix,

you snivelling rascal, had you taken Serbia with the greatest of ease as we discussed, you would have saved yourself the death-sentance which now hangs over your head. !:slay: Your double-dealing ways have earned you a powerful enemy the like of which you know not yet.

You foolish turkey, perhaps you are unaware of the old Maori saying:
"Chase two Moas, catch none!"
:arrow: What you may catch, is an earful of this! :spank:
If this was an error on your part, state it quickly and offer your recompense. If not ...

Wow gentlemen (and ladies, if there are any among you). You guys are a violent lot. England in Belgium! Turkey in Sevastopol! Things just aren't so reckless on the expert board. "Well done, lads, good scrum..."

Bah, they weren't nearly as reckless before Russia decided to attack the completely non-agressive Austrians.

And, as I said, he has a rather large, poisonous Turkey at his back door now :goodjob:, so it would seem that he is not in the best position to make threats.

It would seem Russia is no longer so dominant, eh?

The friendly Austrians huh? Try telling that to the poor Greek goats your men have been ravishing!:love:

All I have to say is that it's a good thing the Turks saved those poor Cossack horses from your women.

Wow, you guys can be quite insulting with your words. We here in Turkey let our actions speak for themselves. :lol:

I wouldn't be so arrogant if I was you Russia. You have two enemies who are in a much better position that you are. You are not the dominant force that you assume you sir. We both have the same amount of supply centers and mine are bit more concentrated and easier to maintain than yours. Unless of course, you've reached some type of agreement with England.

Either way, it's good to be the Sultan:king:

Greetings my fellow Monarchs!

Let it be seen that the cowardly Austrians and Turks are too :confused: :eek: scared to stand alone, and must plot and plan together, hoping to gang up :satan: on free countries. We worry not, for the nobility of Russia feel sure that the other honorable and catholic nations shall take the necessary steps to stop such schoolyard bullies.

Indeed, that the perfidious Duke in Austria should suckle with barbarian Turk ... is most evil. It can not go unpunished.

Yours, in war and peace,
Tsar Adamski

Ironic that you should call me perfidious, isn't it, Tsar?
Anyways, any sensible monarch would've already been considering peace. But you, of course not.
It is no manner. I intend to make good on my promise of Moscow.

Builds:

Austria= A-Vie

England= A-Lon, F-Edi

France= A Par, F-Bre

Italy= A Rom

Germany= A Mun, A Kie

Russia= A Mos

Turkey= F-Ank, A-Smy

The next deadline is Wednesday 9 Apr 0001 EST (GMT-5).

Happy Dipping!

GM Note: Now THIS is what I call FUN:D!

Methinks that the Tsar needs to spend some time among his people and realize that they are not Catholic, they are Orthodox! Ironicly, they same as Turkey! And the only Catholic nations in the game are Italy and France, neither of which is in any postion to help out Russia. I think, good Tsar, after you are destroyed I will keep you around as a source of amusement.

Ahhh, the pleasures of being Sultan!:king:
