For the spectators...the players have all received the mappies already, but as civfanatics was down for about 12 hours and it was exceedingly late last night when I was posting I left it to know.


NEWSFLASH:

The Turks avenge their lost army by butchering the butchers of the Austrian Empire in Bulgaria...a land now famous for slaughter and death!

The French, German and Italian Empires rest their forces and are free from bloodshed...something much of Europe can only dream about.

The Russian Empire continues to strike back this season re-capturing the port of Sevastopole after a 300 mile advance in a mere two weeks by Russian Cossacks pursuing fleeing Turks.

Newsflash:

The Walloon Crisis sends France and Germany headlong into armed conflict! France looks likely to avenge the humiliation of 1870!

Once again an Austrian Army is annihilated...checked by the Turkish Army and Navy the Austrian Army low on ammunition turns back to meet a powerful Italian force across their line of retreat and supply. Forced to use bayonet charges the Austrian troopers are cut to shreds by withering Italian fire backed up by the massive guns of Italian Battleships. "Lions led by Donkeys" is a common phrase heard in Vienna by those opposed to the war...

The Turkish military will soon have to face facts...much of their army exists merely in name...reality may lead to the acceptance that the Turkish army in Armenia is a myth!
