I am playing game Athens, facing what I hear is some pretty stiff competition. I'll post maps of my progress (don't expect too many, I'm assuming a quick loss). Would you guys like to?

Ah, I'd wondered if there was a thread up over here.

I'm playing Italy in "Lisbon". Rumour has it that Germany is the power to watch in my game. However, Austria seems to be an old timer as well. On top of that, Russia is my old Alcibiades' Return ally/enemy whose France defeated my England in the end. Will old rivalries replay themselves? Will I even survive to the end of 1903? Who can say?

A strong England isn't in Russian interests, so I doubt it.

England and Germany weren't the ones I warned...

The only one I said anything to has a bigger mouth than I thought.

I don't think England and Germany can co-exist. England is already backpeddling before me.

My biggest concern is my track record as Russia--both previous attempts saw me with no builds in year one. My biggest worry is that Turkey will stall me long enough that Italy and Austria will gobble up my expansion room...

I know that Kitten will make things miserable for whoever he decides to get rid of, but my neighbours don't think I need any SC's...

Turkey talks like he's not committed to war with Russia, but he's still gunning for me. Austria is a fool, and unless he changes his attitude real fast, he could go out before I do. Sometimes I wonder whether England is trying to upstage Kitten or play while stoned. As for Germany, I think he's watching things in the west, just like me...

Something tells me that I'm in the deepest of doggie dung...

End of 1902 in Lisbon and I'm pleased / surprised to report that I've picked up a couple of builds. Still nothing new from either Belgrade or Athens. What's the holdup there, guys?

GM is MIA, and England NMR'ed then was replaced. Spring 1902 will be next week, Wednesday night...

Yeah I just saw a post by DTS that he's taking over as GM. Wow, Gnarf, with Pawnmaker coming in as the new England, plus some of the other players (including Kitten), you're in a pretty rough neighbourhood.
