Incidentally, there's room for one more on the Round 2 slate now... I just emailed the guy running the tourney and dropped out. I have too much on my plate right now to start any new games in the near future.

The DIAS is now official. I have Moscow still. I like the way this one was scored. It is still more flattering to me than the map suggests...

I would have thought they would have asked me given that even with the daft scoring system I was top of the alternates.

Nope, it was first person to say "me sir" that got it.

Anyhow, badly run tourney that had a daft scoring system and took ages needlessly.

Yeah it was very messy at the end of Round 1 and lead up to Round 2. Doug kept including me in the list of confirmed Rd. 2 players despite my dropping out of Round 2 back in July and writing him twice since to remind him of that.
