CivII and Vista

I tried & failed to get Civ II working on my Vista (64bit) machine. Got it working on a virtual machine using VMWare - but quite a hassle. Gave up after update problems and dual-booted PC with XP (32 bit). Would be glad to hear of any success on this - sorry can't help more.

16 bit programs like civ2 2.42 are one of the few that will not run on any 64 bit OS. Too bad. There is a patch that lets civ2 MGE run on a 64 bit OS. I hate the aggressive AI on MGE so I don't play it. I also use a dual boot 32 bit version when I want to play civ2 2.42.
