Civilization 5 Poll

I voted for "later". Although I'd like to have Civ V right now I'm currently too busy with my Civ IV and CivRev (XO). I wouldn't mind if Civ V would come in 2-3 years.

Last night I dreamt about Civ V. It turned out that Civ V was so bad, awful and crappily made that only Satan worshippers wanted to play it. I hope my dream won't come true.

Considering how disappointing Civ IV vanilla was, I think the sooner Civ V comes out, the sooner we can get past the early patches and into the real meat of the game: the Expansion Sets and player-generated mods.

I've only just started CivIV, and it is brilliant, so for me 2 years time would be about right (I played GalCivII for 2.5 years before starting on CivIV)

Its not a Civ V that we need, we need a new alpha centurai. I was reading before, although cant quite remember where (your basic rumor type factory) that they were considering doing a new alpha centurai before doing a civ 5. Now that would be awesome IMO. I dont think they have the rights to trhe name, but it doesnt matter. Sid meier can just make a game and put his name next to it and everyone will know which is the correct one to buy. he could even call it something different.

Agreed. Between the mods and mastering the ladder to higher difficulty levels Civ IV still has a lot of mileage left for me. I'd like some new challenges, exotic landscapes and some seriously far-fetched technology to research.
