My question is simple:
Can anyone with Civilization IV: Complete Edition confirm that there is a CD Key in the format of 1AB2C-D3FGH-456I7 and whether it's the US or European version? The US version that contains Colonization claims to be DRM-free so I wouldn't be surprised if it did not have a key at all. The European version that only includes Vanilla+Warlords+BTS (not Colonization) is more likely to have a CD Key since it does not claim to be DRM-free.
To be clear, I'm not asking for a CD Key. I just want to know the key's length and format (ie XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX) and what specific edition it's from.
Here's why:
I have Civilization Chronicles (http://www.civilization.com/chronicles) and a MacBook Pro dualbooting OSX Mavericks and BootCamp Windows 7. Chronicles doesn't include Warlords/BTS/Colonization and so I'd like to purchase those expansions. Ideally I'd like to buy a physical copy and add Civ IV Complete to Steam, since it is on the list of Retail Keys that Steam will accept (https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=7480-wusf-3601). That way, I can have Civ IV on both Mac and Windows, and I would like to have physical copies of the expansions to go along with Chronicles. Anyways, any help or further information would be greatly appreciated!
