Civilization Request Thread

There's definitely a special ArtDefines for them inside the scenario, but I can't confirm whether it's just a fort or not :P

EDIT: Yeah, I think it's actually just the fort >:( dammit game show some consistency
I bet the bastards even actually had a model for it since they made the icon

It's not wrong, it's just like saying that a dog raised with cats is now a cat. Also, Svartalfheimr is Nidavellir. It's just the maggot holes in the body of Ymir, which is earth. It's trippy as hell how the dwarves happened.

I like it, but I still think Valahalla should be a thing for them. Also, anyone thinking if this happens we should also make:

The Vanir: Njord

UA: Alfseidr: Produces food and happiness when a war is stopped.
UU: Sessrumnir? : Replaces battleship?
UB: Sessrumnir? : Replaces Palace?

EDIT: Dammit, just realised my pedantry won't allow this. The singular of Einherjar is Einherji. Sorry.

Now I'm being racist. We need to include the Jotnar:

Utgard-Loki: UA: Giants (definitely needs to be changed): All units gain sight and movement.
UU: Shapeshifter: Unlike the spearman(?) it replaces, the Shapeshifter is not affected by terrain (as in it treats all terrain as grassland).
UB: I got nothin'

Alright - for some reason I've finished three Civs in the last three months, figured out how to actually make Events and Decisions, probably will update Julius Caesar shortly due to free time, and am right now waiting for art so I started to try out how to make art other than maybe building/leader/unit icons, which led to my most impressive attempt of... this leader screen of Ioannis Kapodistrias.

I mean, it's not even remotely close to the level of people like Tarcisio or Jan or Leugi or any great artists, really, but it's... a start.

Unfortunately, I've run into a massive, Great Wall of Trump-sized modder's block, so I've even lacked examples on which to practice my art and, who knows, maybe actually get something going.

Nevertheless, here I am to see if there are any designs that would be interesting - no UIs, though, those are... not exactly useful. As for unit models, don't go absolutely overboard - my resource is at best limited to poaching UUs from the 3UC/4UC mod or anything from the Unit Model sub board.

I have that design from some challenge, I think? Anyway, Klepth and Fireships work for a Greek-independence civ. I can hand over my civ icon for it too if you want.

Oh, and UA should be based around Philhellenism.

Wait did you want a Greek independence civ design or what?

Any Civ, the leaderscreen was just the best art I made so far, which is to say it's not excellent but it's better than what I've ever done, to show my art so far.

just dump some civs on me, I need ideas

My main question here is... shouldn't Venizelos be a better leader for a Modern Greece civilization?

I know he didn't participate in the greek independence war, but he's far more iconic, just picture a modern greek guy and he'll probably be the first to come to mind.

There are already two Venizelos being made. Both with the same design.

I'm likely not going for a modern Greece, thank you.

Did you guys literally not read my post?

Could never get a design which satisfied me. Ultimately I'd love to finish it, but again, modder's block.

Oh! I may get back to you about that in a bit!

What about the Yaghan civilization we discussed about some time ago?

Or Solano Lopez's Paraguay, I'm itching to see that being done too.

That's the problem: I'm not satisfied with any designs I make, save for Hammurabi who is a slightly modified version of Zantonius Hamm's or George III which is somehow great.

I need designs in the first place! I never was good at designing, but now I turn them into a full-fledged reality! Problem: I lack the designs themselves!

Nope, head is empty in that regard. Can't find mechanics interesting enough.

That said, Enlightenment/Industrial is a favorite of mine. I considered doing Solano Lopez but I'm unsure.
