Civilization Request Thread

The only component I've thought of right now is possibly a Field Hospital UI. I'm not sure when it would be unlocked, but it would provide food and science (and health with CID) and heal friendly units ending their turn on it. It could also be built in city states where it would provide influence for you every turn that it's being worked.

Could the Hospital heal any unit instead? But if it heals an unit that is not yours it excerts influence over the unit's owner.

Interesting idea, although I don't think this would be the best route as A) it relies on city states getting into relevant wars and then being smart enough to use the field hospital and B) could backfire on you in the case of an invasion.

Military Training Agency for sure.

I have no ideas about costs for Decisions, but should do something in regards to updating Korean units.

For the other one...

Gihae Eastern Expedition maybe?

Quick question. Where do I learn to code a mod?

Quick question. Where do I learn to code a mod?

Kinda know where specifically. There's several tutorials you can use (all the one's in Whowards signature, plus Kael's and some others), there's also this thread for all your coding related questions. http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=484682&page=24

Also anyone have any ideas on a Sokoto Caliphate under Usman? All I have is the UA name, which is The Fulani Jihads.

Maybe something along these lines? May need balancing, but I made this more as a concept than anything...

Sokoto Caliphate (Usman)
UA: The Fulani Jihads -
Upon the discovery of Writing, all civilian units start yielding +1 Science :c5science: and +1 Faith :c5faith:. Whenever an Mujaddid is born a fair sum of Science :c5science: and Faith :c5faith: is gained.

UU: Mujaddid (Replaces Great Prophet) -
Whenever the Mujaddid is expended to spread the religion, adopt a belief, or found a religion you gain Golden Age :c5goldenage: points.

UI: Sehan -
Can only be built on Desert tiles. Yields +2 Faith :c5faith:, +1 Culture :c5culture: and +1 Tourism :tourism:.

Yeah it probably needs balancing, but can you answer me this? One, what do you mean by, "all civilian units start yeilding +1 science and +1 faith." Two, which sources did you use to find the uniques? Like the Sehan for example.

I'm not really feeling this Sokoto design. They're most notable for their military conquests and there's nothing militaristic here. Also, I just really dislike bonuses when a specific great person is born or expended. I just find that really boring and lame and it ultimately makes the unique great person nothing more than a regular great person who just provides some yields upon being used like normal.

Ehh I dun really like either of those sokoto designs

Ashikaga Yoshimasa, Japan
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashikaga_Yoshimasa
UA: Higashiyama Bunka https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Higashiyama_period
Enters a :c5goldenage: Golden Age and grants a copy of the Incense or Tea resource when you advance to the next era.
UU: Ninja (replaces Longswordsman) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ninja
Cost: 140 :c5production: / 280 :c5faith:
Combat Type: Melee Units
Combat: 21 :c5strength:
Movement: 3 :c5moves:
Ninja has the Quick Study and Foreign Lands Bonus promotions
UB: Rock Garden (replaces Garden) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_rock_garden
Cost: 120 :c5production:
Maintenance: 1 :c5gold:
+25% :c5greatperson: Great People generation in this City. Each source of Marble and Stone worked by this City produce +1 :c5culture: Culture and +1 :c5faith: Faith.
City must have at least one of these resources improved with a Quarry.

I think I'd much rather see a Rock Garden as a Stone Works, especially considering the Garden is one of the more useful "requires specific terrain" buildings and this design puts it behind a resource wall.

Also not sure if Ninjas should be powerful front-line units :p

I have idea that ninja may replace Spy

What type of unit they are? Who are they?

Spies aren't really a unit, they're more like a utility. You can't build spies, they just show up and you use a menu to put them in places. Could work as part of a UA *cough*Anishinaabe*cough* but they're most certainly not a Unique Unit.

I just came up with an idea for Sokoto. I hope it's faithy, conquesty, and sciencey enough.

Spoiler :

Sokoto:
Lamido Julbe: Eliminating a civ provides a free technology and a Great Prophet. If a Foreign Missionary spread religions to one of your cities, the Missionary is automatically killed.
Lifidi: Replaces Lancer. Is slightly stronger that the normal lancer (30), and gets a combat bonus against melee units. Capturing a city with a Lifidi provides a free missionary in the capital.
Tariqa: Replaces University. Besides usual bonus, Units built in a city with a Tariqa gets +1 Movement for every city they conquered (Max: +2) and get an amount of faith for how damage they received attacking a city.

3rd Comp.
Waqf: Unique Improvement that provides +1 Faith, Gold, and Food.
Whenever a worker creates one, receive a small boost of science (Bonus Increased Every Era). Unlocked at Civil Service. Bonus doubled at Industrialization.
