Civilization Request Thread

I don't know whether I should point out that the Fate/ series has one hell of a weird internal history or whether I'm missing the obvious sarcasm in this.

Also, they were talking about the mechanics - what happens behind the scenes. So things like that sort of don't matter thanks to the power of adaptation.

Ahhhh stupid internet its the second time my posts(the kind of posts that take a hour to write) get erased in the middle...

But... I'm using a tablet.

Well, it never happened before.

I know the Muisca have been done but I thought of another design for them.

Muisca
UA: Gautavita Worship- If a city has a gold resource in it's territory or has a trade route with a city that has a gold resource gain +1 :c5faith: faith and +1 :c5culture: culture for every other citizen in the city.
UU: Iraca- Replaces Missionary. Yields +2 :c5food: and +1 :c5production: when stationed in a city. Gives +2 experience per turn to any unit on the same tile it is.
UNW: Sue Temple- Replaces Grand Temple. Along with normal effects it yields +2 :c5happy: happiness, +2 :c5culture: culture, and starts WLTKD in all cities.

The Muisca had lots of gold (some which was imported) and threw gold trinkets in lake Guatavita to worship said goddess. The Iraca were the priests who helped council in times of peace and war. The Sue Temple was a temple for their sun god and they threw a festival once a year for celebration. I was considering using the Gueche as a UU but Leugi already has that in his Muisca civ.

The Muisca are the source of the legend of El Dorado. This gave me the idea for an alternate UA something along the lines of,
UA: Legend of El Dorado- Gain ??? whenever another civilization discovers tiles and cities belonging to you.
My thinking being the conquistadors explored Muisca lands looking for El Dorado but in real life the Muisca didn't really gain anything from that :p

Thoughts and comments?

Main thoughts is that basing the UA around a luxury that may not even be present or close is simply bad design, which is why I prefer Leugi's idea anyways.

I suppose you don't like Spain's UA either. I myself don't see much problem with randomization. Though do you suggest I have gold resources just automatically spawn like Leugi's Muisca?

Spain's UA is different, since you are always guaranteed to have natural wonders spawn in the map. The same does not happen for luxury resources

There's always a Natural Wonder on the map somewhere, normally within a reasonable distance. There is no guarantee for gold to appear anywhere on the map at all.

EDIT: Ninja'd by tarcisio...

Muisca
UA: Gautavita Worship- If a city has a gold resource gain +1 faith and +1 culture for every other citizen in the city. External trade routes count as gold resources for the UA but have no other effects.

I changed the UA. I actually like it more than my first one

So I redesign the Homeric Greece concept I was toying around with.

Leader: Pericles

UA: Birthplace of Western Civilization: Cities are founded as puppets. Settlers and Workers can embark immediately, but not cross oceans. Great Works generate +1 Food, increase Military Production by 20% and provide +5 experience.

UB: Bouleuterion: Monument replacement. Has a Great Work of Writing slot, and provides +2 Great Writer points.

UU: Peltast: Spearman replacement. Ignores difficult terrain, has a flanking attack bonus and can embark immediately with increased speed while embarked.

I really hope I've not made it too OP.

Finally:

Russia resplit, part I

Novgorod Republic(Alexander Nevsky)
Spoiler :
UA: The Land beyond the Portages
Furs provide double quantity, and each unit of unit of Fur present in a city boosts its gold output by 5%(max. 20%). Per each luxury present in a city, trade routes from it will add 10% of the base :c5gold: gold yield to the :c5production: production yield of the city.

UU: Boyar
Replaces great general. When stationed in a city, doubles the :c5culture: cultural border growth rate, and boosts the :c5production: production of buildings(not wonders) and units by percentage equal to the city's population. May also be used to instantly found volosts, instead of founding citadels.

UI: Volost
Unlocked at chivalry. The number of volosts may not be higher then half the number of cities you founded, but also must not be higher then the number of cities you conquered*. Volosts must be founded near at least one luxury. Volosts claim and improve tiles with resources within a 2 tile range. The :c5gold: gold yields of tiles claimed by the volost are added to the :c5capital: capital's yields.

Kievan Rus'(Yaroslav the Wise)
Spoiler :
UA: From the Varangians to the Greeks
The :c5capital: capital starts with a free Veche. Units start with the amphibious promotion, and move through rivers and rough terrain adjacent to them as if it was flat. :trade: Trade route :c5gold: gold modifier from rivers is doubled.

UU: Varangian Druzhina
Replaces Longswordsman. Unlocked earlier, at civil service. Starts with 10 XP. Upon reaching level 5, starts providing a 15% combat boost and causes adjacent units to gain promotions 33% faster. Does not obsolete, and becomes stronger after researching steel(22 :c5strength:).

UB: Veche
Replaces market. In addition to the market's abilities, if the city was built on river the veche yields 1 :c5happy: happiness. Cheaper.

Since you all looove doing civ splits over here , if anyone's familiar enough with Danish and Scandinavian history, I'd love to see some Denmark splits.
Harald I Bluetooth, Magrethe I (Kalmar Union), Christian IV (Denmark-Norway) are covered I guess. And GE and TCM is doing a Cnut/Canute II the Great (North Sea Empire) I think.
But either of the following could possibly be interesting:

- Valdemar I the Great
- Valdemar II the Victorious
- Valdemar IV Atterdag
- Christian II the Tyrant, or the Restless
- Frederick II

I don't know if all of them are different enough from one another to actually come up with different unique components, but some of them should be. :D

I'm not sure about the UA, but the UB is definitely overpowered. I don't think any civ should get GW points that early.

I suppose a specialist slot could work... Since they consume food and all.
