my ottoman split(not turkey, ottoman. :p):

Osman I
Spoiler :
UA: Emergence of The Ottomans
:c5occupied: conquering a city provides points towards a :c5greatperson: great general, and grants you a free Ghazi warrior(if steel has been researched, or more advanced unit with the same attributes). cities that don't follow your :c5faith: religion do not reduce piety nor produce religious pressure.

UU: Ghazi Warrior
replaces Longswordsman. has lower strength(18 :c5strength:). has a bonus against cities(33%). per each city following your religion, the Ghazi gets 2 :c5faith: faith from pillaging tiles(up to 20).

UU: Turkoman Cavalry
replaces knight. the Timariot is weaker then the knight(18 :c5strength:), but starts with the Shock I promotion. it has a bonus in friendly territory(25%), and is cheaper then the knight. upgrades to the lancer.

Mehamed II
Spoiler :
UA: The Conqueror
each ranged unit adjacent to a city reduces its yields and its :c5strength: defensive strength by 5%(and siege units by 10%). :c5rangedstrength: ranaged units have a 33% bonus against naval units. after reaserching the required technologies, receive gunpowder for free.

UU: Great Bombard
replaces cannon. unlike the cannon which it replaces, the great bombard has a larger bonus vs. cities(250%), and does not need to set up to fire(but may only fire if it hadn't moved in the same turn). has 28 :c5rangedstrength: ranged strength, and 10 :c5strength: defensive strength.

UU: Humbaracı
Replaces crossbowman. unlocked at gunpowder, and has a higher production cost. may only attack adjacent units. however, the Humbaraci is stronger then the crossbowman(15 :c5strength:, 22 :c5rangedstrength:). it also boosts the strength of adjacent gunpowder units by 15%, and has the volley promotion. in addition, if attacking a city with garrison, the garrison is damaged as if he was attacked by rthe unit. terrain modifiers aren't effective against the unit.

Suleiman the Magnificent
Spoiler :
UA: Community of the Talented
:c5production: engineer specialists increase :c5culture: culture and :c5science: scientist specialists increase :c5faith: faith by 5%. after the respective guilds have been built, the palace will contain :c5culture: cultural specialist slots. wonders provide double :c5greatperson: GP points.

UB: Medrese
replaces university. has one exra :c5science: scientist specialist slots, and increases the yields of all :c5science: science buildings and specialists by 1 :c5faith: faith.

UU: Barbary Corsair
replaces privateer. has a :c5strength: combat bonus in coastal areas(20%), and starts with the Boarding Party I promotion.

Alternate Elements
Spoiler :
UA: Wars of the Sultantes
Naval units heal each turn in friendly territory(10 HP, even if performing action). if a CS\ a civilization you were allied with are eliminated, you assume control of their remaining units. all naval units start with the prize ships promotion.

UA: Barbary Corasirs
all naval units start with the same promotions as a privateer. Naval units are built 33% faster at the capital, and produce more great admiral points in combat based on their distance from it.

UB: Foundry
replaces forge. unlike the forge, the foundry increases the :c5production: production of siege units(instead of melee units) by 25%. all siege and melee units produced in this city will receive 10 XP.

UU: Siphai
replaces lancer. slightly stronger(28 :c5strength:), and have 1 extra :c5moves: movement and sight. cost more to :c5production: produce.

UU: Janissary
Replaces musketman. slightly stronger(26 :c5strength:), and has a combat bonus based on its distance from the capital.

feedback please! took some time(to type, not to find ).
(dat icon limit again)

and grants you a free Ghazi warrior.

This is a design flaw for an UA because you can either get it too soon (Absolutely wrecking everyone with it) or too late (XCOM vs Ghazis)

each city following your religion increases :c5food: growth and :c5greatperson: great people genration in conquered cities by 5%.

Another design flaw because there is no cap.

and does not need to set up to fire(but may only fire if it hadn't moved in the same turn)
Although I get it that you won't waste one movement point, this is ultimately redundant.

@GPuzzle
You are definitely on the right track, but I've never played an Ace Attorney game. They look fun, tough.

@COF
I want to make Zelda civs as well, but the franchise in question is much smaller, and sadly not well known.

Ghost Trick or something like that, isn't it?

I don't think it's Advance Wars - might be wrong.

Kid Icarus?

@ZH Rome

Gaius Marius
I like it, very synergistic with a nice emphasis on experience. That said it could potentially get a little OP - if you've got the 3 experience buildings in the capital, and say, 10 other cities also with 3 experience buildings, all of your units would start with 75 experience. Odlly, this'd make Marius most powerful in the lategame, which may or may not be a problem overall. That said, the legionary is great, simple and works with the UA and I love the arena, which, again, works great with the UA.

Caesar
This could be a little overpowered - starting a We Love the King Day in every city whenever you take a city could put you in a perpetual WLTKD if you're strong enough. That gets a little OP when combined with the unique general building lots of free stuff for you. And on the reverse, if you're really strong and facing a weak foe, it'd force you to take a city every 5 turns or you'd miss out on the next WLTKD. That said its still an interesting UA/UU - though I don't see that the UB fits very well. It'll only really be useful when you're on the defensive, and more importantly, the secondary ability relies on you being in WLTKD a lot, which is weird because you get the WLTKD by playing offensively, whereas the bonus is defensive. I can see that secondary bonus being totally unused 99% of games.

Augustus
I like this one. Looks fun to play and fairly powerful and is also a cool way to split down vanilla Romes UA/UU.

Trajan
I think the second bit is a little confusing to be honest. Other than that, I like it! Though if the additional maintenance for the UB is too high, it could be really annoying, since monuments tend to be something you build in every city, and the rest of the civ has no gold generation bonuses.

Constantine
Depending on how much faith it costs, the Archdiocese thing could be really overpowered. I'd reccomend that the price of creating one increases for each already in the Empire. Other than that I've my usual quibbles about new mechanics rather than using the existing mechanics, but I know thats just a personal difference of opinion. Other than that, I like it!

Theodosius
As usual, I think the foederatii is cheating a bit since its a 'hidden' unique. I'd rather see it integrated into the whole design as a UI like JFDs Germans. I think the basilica seems overpowered. I build temples in pretty much every city - so that basically means a constant +50% culture modifier across the whole empire.

Nero
The flat gold and production cost decrease seems a little odd, it doesn't really fit the rest of the design and is rather boring if you ask me. The Horseman seems pretty overpowered because one could potentially just sell 5 shrines or monuments and rebuild them, meaning +5 happiness per city. Plus I'm not sure this civ is as synergistic as your others. There isn't much cyclicalism because theres no bonus for happiness and the theatre granting culture goes against the rest of the civs design a bit.

Marcus Aurelius
This one is a tad odd because my first instinct would be to carpet the world in scouts and rake in an absolute tonne of GW points. That said the milites and the UA synergise well together, and the UB works with the whole thing very well. Only quibble I have is that 'Roman circus' seems like an odd name for a UB replacing the circus.

Reposting the civs with their proper names:

The United Kingdom

Bill Hawks

London Police^
Spies are twice as effective at capturing enemy Spies attempting to steal a :c5science: Technology, and provide :c5greatperson: Great Archaeologist points upon doing so. Receive an additional Spy.

May construct a special Academy that periodically spawns Archaeologists upon the discovery of Archaeology, and yields +1 :c5science: Science for every :greatwork: Artifact in the nearest city, unlike the :c5greatperson: Great Scientist it replaces.

Scotland Yard
Yields +1 :c5production: Production for every enemy Spy ever captured, unlike the National Intelligence Agency it replaces.

The Targent Agency

Leon Bronev

The Azran Legacy^
May not gain Settlers. May enslave* :c5greatperson: Great Scientists and Spies intimidate City-States when stationed in them. +1% :c5science: Science and :c5strength: Combat Strength for every :greatwork: Artifact in the empire. (Up to +15%)

Henchman^
May steal the :greatwork: Artifact when moving next to an Archaeological Dig, unlike the Infantry it replaces.

Armed Airship^
May capture cities, unlike the Helicopter Gunship it replaces. Weaker, but receives a combat bonus (+15%) outside of friendly territory.

Spoiler :
*Works the same way as enslaving a Worker from a City-State.

And the last is a spoiler civ:
Spoiler Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy :
The Azran

No name yet

Azran Technology^
50% of :c5faith: Faith contributes towards :c5science: Science, starting with Theology. +1% Wonder :c5production: Production for every five non-Ancient :c5science: Technologies discovered. (Up to +20%)

Golem
May construct improvements 50% faster than Workers, unlike the Helicopter Gunship it replaces. Obsoletes Workers, which may upgrade to Golems. Does not require Aluminum. May capture cities. Starts with 1 XP for every five non-Ancient :c5science: Technologies discovered. May stage a Rebellion*.

Azran Chamber^
Yields +3 :c5faith: Faith from Wonders in the city, unlike the Library it replaces.

Spoiler :
*When a Golem stages a Rebellion, all Golems become Barbarians and 50% of your cities become Barbarian. If all cities are recaptured, the Barbarian Golems will disband.

Names with a ^ are tentative.

Oh hey Etruscan design through the fire.

UB: Fanum: Temple Replacement. Resources that can be mined or quarried provide +2 Gold and +2 Faith.

Awesome design. Lot's of faith and gold (and who doesn't like faith and/or gold). Could be OP depending on the start.

* Manfred von Karma might also work, although Edgeworth is much more present (and probably popular, I would think) throughout the series.
** Damon Gant might also work, if only he hadn't appeared in just one case. OR, Ema Skye might work, with the UA being "The Power of Science".
*** We don't actually know any officials of this country except two of their ambassadors.
**** We don't even know any ambassadors from this country, so I pretty much just had to go with any adult with any influence over there...

Spoiler :
GREAT WRITER QUOTES
Godot - "Blacker than a moonless night, hotter and more bitter than hell itself... that is coffee."
Edgeworth - "I object! That was... objectionable!"
Judge - "The law is the end product of many years of history... the fruit of human knowledge! Like a gem, polished to a gleam through trials... and errors."
Maya Fey - "So? What's the difference? You need to stop judging things based on narrow-minded cultural assumptions, Nick!"
Wright - "My past is like my logic, straight and true. Nothing's changed. All I did was point the finger of justice in the proper direction."
Klavier Gavin - "Achtung, baby! Today, we play it my way!"
Kristoph Gavin - "Well, this case certainly has taken a turn... for the interesting!"
Valant Gramarye - "A modicum of magic from me to you!"
Ema Skye - "Quiet, please. It's snack time."
Jake Marshall - "They shoot you in Texas for that!"
Fransizka von Karma - "I grow tired of the foolish foolery of the foolish fools of this foolish country!"
Manfred von Karma - "There is only one thing you need to do here. You will slam down your gavel and say the word "guilty". That is your role!"
Matt Engarde - "Hold on a sec. I'm gonna ask my manager, OK?"
Ron DeLite - "Cut it out, PLEEEEEEEEASE!"

I'll leave the actual effects up to someone else.

Ah nice, a fairly different design. Who would be the leader, so our Etruscans can fight themselves to death?

Lars Porsena.

Any feedback on it?

Any feedback on it?

Well, I have nothing against the design itself. Merely on the reasoning for applying some parts of it to this civ in particular

Was religion important in the life of the etruscans? Yes, very much so. But they did not "export" it to the nearby Italiot city states, nor for the Italian and Gallic tribes, so a focus on religious pressure and a Great Prophet replacement (That has further bonuses to spreading their religion) is not warranted here. In fact, they were great lovers of greek culture (To the detriment of their own) and imported not only their arts but also their gods, mixing them with their native ones.

I suppose I'll have to redesign the Civ's main focus...

Perhaps Trade Routes produce Faith? IDK, I'll figure it out when it's not 1 in the morning.

I got enough of people referring to specific things. Should I not have those design overflows, what would you say then? I know I asked feedback, but you only talked about overflows. You could have said what you think about the design as a whole...
