Civilization Request Thread

Ok I'm going to put my William Wallace Scotland oh hold in favor of a Sultanate of Rum civ. He's what I've come up with while waiting for the doctor today.

Leader: Kayqubad I

UA: Haven't thought of one I may do something along the lines of trade and military expansion since that what the Sultanate did during most of it's existence. Especially under Kaykhusraw I, Kaykaus I and Kayqubad I which are considered the best of the Sultans of Rum. Speaking of specialties this leads me to my next point.

UB/UU: Not quite sure yet either I might do a caravansary replacement since the Sultanate had set up a system of caravansaries through out the Sultanate called Caravanserai (Turkish for caransary)

Capital: Konya

Civ Emblem: No doubt this https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipe.../Seljuqs_Eagle.svg/85px-Seljuqs_Eagle.svg.png What colours though I haven't decided.

That's what I've come up with in about two hours. Suggestions and comments are welcomed. For now I'm going to do some more research, and eating sundaes.

Hmm... Well:
Sultanate of Rum(Kayqubad I)
UA: Pax Rumana
Cities :c5production: construct buildings and units built in cities that they could send a :trade: trade route to faster, and when a :trade: trade route is sent to your city, gain :c5production: production boost towards buildings built in its home city. +5% :c5strength: combat strength against cities per each :trade: trade route they had with your cities*.

UI: Han
Unlocked at Currency. May be built on city connections, and never adjacent to another Han. +1 :c5gold: gold after economics, and +1 :c5gold: gold per each :trade: trade route that passes through or adjacent to it. :trade: trade routes to and from cities with an adjacent Han have a 33% increase in range.

UU: Bey
Replaces great general. When stationed in a city grants double bonuses from the UA. Units within two tiles of a bey cost no :c5gold: maintenance.

*max. 10% per city.
What do you think?

Not bad. But I would change the name of the UU. Maybe Pax Romana in Turkish instead. I've got school to go to so I'll come back later.

This is but a simple request from someone with no experience with modding:

The Republic of the Philippines

Leader: Ramon Magsaysay (President IRL from 1953-1957)

UA: "Idol of the Masses"
Whenever a :c5science: and :c5gold: building is built, the city it was built in gains a temporary :c5gold: boost that will stack. This boost grows larger according to the building that is built (i.e., building a library or market will provide a small 10% boost, while building a bank or public school will provide a 25% boost). Additionally, during a 'We Love the King Day', a city gains a temporary :c5culture: boost.

UU: Scout Ranger

Based upon the real-life First Scout Ranger Regiment, the Scout Ranger is a proposed modern upgrade for the scout unit, being much stronger than its predecessor. Intended for specialization in rough terrain, this unit gains several bonuses when fighting in rough terrain yet gets a penalty in open terrain. Additionally, when stationed in a :c5occupied: city, it mitigates the happiness penalty and speeds up the removal of resistance (if there is still resistance). When stationed in any city during a We Love the King Day, it adds +1 :c5happy:.

UB: Art Deco Theatre

Similar to the Broadcast Tower it replaces, the Art Deco Theatre focuses more on boosting the culture output of a city. It's base yield is +2 :c5culture:, with a modifier of +40% :c5culture: in the city it is built in. Additionally, it retains the Great Work of Music slot.

UI: Rice Terraces

Based upon the UI of the Inca Civilization, the difference between this and that is that it, by default, adds +2 :c5food:. However, after researching Flight, the improvement gains +1 :c5culture: and +1 :tourism:. I was thinking of maybe having it have a small percentage of providing a rice luxury resource (similar to the UA of one of JFD's civs providing silver or gold when building a mine, can't remember which one), but I am not sure as to the viability of this.

Events and Decisions:

Decision 1: Create SEATO
Requirements: Be allied with at least four City-States
Costs: 2 Magistrates and 400 gold
Rewards: Influence with current Allied City-States doubled, and all city state allies with provide a military unit at the start of a conflict with a Major Civilization.

Decision 2: Create the 'National Resettlement and Rehabilitation Administration'
Requirements: Must at least have 15 Farm, Plantation, or Rice Terrace improvements, as well as a granary in every city. Fertilizers must also be researched.
Costs: 3 Magistrates and 1000 gold
Rewards: Every granary, windmill, Farm, Plantation, and Rice Terrace will now permanently provide +1 :c5happy:. Additionally, a 'We Love the King Day' is automatically started in every city.

UU, UI and UB? Only 2 U :c5unhappy:.

And there is the 3rd and 4th UC mods...

I don't think three uniques are a good idea. The design is interesting, however.

UU, UI and UB? Only 2 U :c5unhappy:.

My apologies to you both; I only included three U in order to provide some interesting ideas for them. I never intended there to be 3 of them in an actual mod based upon this idea.

In all likeliness, I'd think that if this mod were to be made, only the UI and the UU would be used out of the three ideas I've put forward.

There's already a Philippines.

It's pretty reasonable.

But then, I'm a little bit biased. =]

Who say we can't have more than one Philippines?

Ha, two of them together? Thats Israel and the Emirates you talking about here...

Palau
Leader: Mr. X.

UA: Wonder-Island: Island cities* recieve +20% :c5food: Food and +15% :c5culture: Culture. +2 :c5food: Food and :c5production: Production from each Atoll.
*Island city is the city founded on island. Island is the 1-5 tiles of land that are surrounded by water.
UU: Koror Chief - Great General replacement. Great General's abilities. Also specialises in scouting across oceans and can found cities on foreign continents.
UB: Bai - Opera House replacement. Maintenance: 1. +3 :c5culture: Culture, +2 :c5happy: Happiness. Contains 1 slot for a Great Work of Music.

Arabia
Leader: Abū Jaʿfar Abdullāh al-Maʾmūn ibn Harūn

UA: The Brotherhood of Purity: 30% of :c5faith: Faith output of all cities added each turn to the amount of :c5science: Science.
UU: Astronomer - Great Scientist replacement. Great scientist's abilities. Also an Astronomer can create a Zij (the analogue of Great Work of Writing) (generates +3 :c5science: Science and +3 :c5production: Production) that is placed in the nearest city that has an appropriate building with an empty slot.
UNW: House of Wisdom - Oxford University replacement. Oxford University bonus. Also you receive a tech boost each time a Great Scientist is expended. Have no required buildings.

I found this UA a bit weak... Also, Dat UNW(which would perfectly fit my playstyle) is OP.
