Civilization Synergy -- Daladinn help!

This thread is about synergy, not overall strategy. I don't like it when threads diverge from the original topic.

Some civilizations have obvious synergies, other don't have many. Examples of obvious ones:
- elves and FoL
- dwarves and CoE (dwarven shadows may be the sickest unit in the GAME)
- vampires and AV, for lots of food

Note that although I used the 3 examples above, that's NOT how I play. But I guess the original poster is looking for hidden synergies as well. Don't have concrete suggestions right now, but I hope I've steered this discussion back to where it was meant to go.

As for general strategies - well normally I would call the person 'lazy', but then this is a game, for entertainment, and we're supposed to enjoy ourselves. Save the hard work for real life.

General strategies, I got a helpful hint: no matter what tech path you're pursuing, try to get education as soon as you can, or quite early. Worker techs are very expansive in FFH, you need to research them to even work your land. Also, education gives you the city-states civic, which is very important for expansion. Expanding into usable land is so important, since with most strategies, you are not going to get bronze working as quickly as in regular Civ4.

Well Daladinn I don't know if I learned what you intended but I tried playing like 4 hours or so when I got home today before I upgraded to .31. I waited to attack Cardith till I got Bronze + Rantine and right about when that happened my city rebelled and I lost the bronze lol. I went for OO and founded Necromincon and finally started attacking him and I think I would have been ok even as far behind i was in research except that the game pauses on 243 waiting for AI and never finished I reloaded and it did it again.

So time to upgrade to .31

I think I should have just attacked by massively outproducing him instead of trying to tech.

I see what a sweet advantage CoE gets but what about Doviello?
