Have you ever experienced that a Deity AI built THE ORACLE AT THE END OF TURN 41 (standard speed) ???

Oh, sure there's salt and horses and silver and wheat. But if I founded near them, I'd be missing out on all this tundra and ice.

And river. And mountains. I think they were just scared of the barbs  chickens

There was no threat of war. The Carthaginian spearman you see is myself. I was just a single troop (starting warrior upgraded through a goodie hut) exploring around. No other civs up in that area yet (competing for all that ice).

To be fair, he will eventually reach to everything but the horses.

Rare image of the Austro-Japanese War in the early 20th century (Maria Theresa preferred death over giving me some Salt)

Not technically a screenshot, I know, but I'd already created this meme for a friend I was updating on my current game progress and figured why not share it here.

Hey, look at this juicy site for a second city.

Maybe I'll call it Salt-Town or something.

Oops. Guess who just beat me to it.

I think I read somewhere that the AI can 'see' not yet visible resources, so chances are there's some Coal or Uranium deposits up there

So weird. Sayyida al-Hurra sent a huge army my way while I had only two units. I frantically began purchasing and building more units, while her army just rotated around my cities? Some of her units even moved towards my undefended capital, then back. After several turns of these strange manuevers, her army then just rushed away back to where they came from. A few turns later, she declares war out of the blue, and her army rushes out of the fog.

If she had declared war earlier, she would have the attacker's advantage, as well as holding advantageous positions, and having many more troops than me, and being to throw them all at me at the simultaneously. As it is, the advantage lies with with me now
