Civilization VI

Thx.

And yes, if they're not so dumb, that they understand the opposite of what is communicated to them, it does change something. There's a famous german philosopher, named Immanuel Kant, who proclamated, that "the human is forced to surrender to his own reason" , so everything that would need to be made clear to the DEVs would be, that they could become richer, more famous and that the people who would be willing to give the advice they need are even their fans, which in the case of CFC and CIV even means that they're often friendly, although they would have every reason to hate them for what they delivered to them.

Oh noez, don't let Evil Arts take over Civilization(s)!

I really hope for it to become great, there must be some designer who tells them "oh, look at all those people playing CIV4 still, can't we make a renaissance?"

I'm sure they're aware of this forum, it must be possible for them to surrender to reason sometime. How if we all write to them, and argue for it? Would that find supporters?

Find this hilarious because I've been calling them Evil Arts for years :D

Quite sad. I got an e-mail at work with the topic stating
A NEW IMPROVED SMAC. I rushed to read it only to find.

Dear Rich , Hope you are doing good ! I tried reaching you earlier. My name is Chandan, representing Happiest Minds and I wanted to discuss with you our SMAC (social, mobile, analytics and cloud) practice along with some of your current Digital Transformation Roadmap as well as your current IT / Software Strategy.

Console/computer gaming is a business. Like any business in a modern capitalistic society the goal is to make maximum profit as quickly as possible. We who participate in the civ4 forum are a minority. After nearly ten years we still play this game. What incentive do the owners and developers of the civilization franchise have to cater to our desires? We believe civ4 a masterpiece, and still enjoy. Money cannot be made from playing a ten year old game. Civ6 will be designed for the masses of people to make as much money as possible. Then expansions will be released to enhance those profits. We the minority cannot generate the vast profits that mindless casual gamers will for the game developers. I don't believe there is anything we can do to return the civilization franchise to its greatness.

While I agree with your sentiment, I disagree with the $$ not being made from a 10 year old game...

The online console stores for Nintendo and Sony seem to show different. As do the many examples of games being re-released. I would assume the fact games like MOO and CIV 4 are on Steam means they make $$. Not to mention WoW, the highest $$ game ever, no?

Sure we are not talking hundreds of millions, but most games don't make tens of millions in sales, much less profit

I actually love Civ V....it was my first civ game ever. I love the leader screens, i actually do not like the leader animations for civ IV...it seems so very exaggerated with giant heads lol.

Thankfully I just installed civ IV so i am still in the midst of figuring out whats so "great" about it. So far, without going into war...i like it...but i miss Civ v and the nostalgia...help! Perhaps I just need to keep at it longer.

Btw...nothing is more awesome than building an army in Civ V...and seeing this giant wave of units advancing and surrounding an enemy city. It can look very grand if you build enough and plan out the placements of each and every unit. I also love that the units in Civ V are the same size as the buildings, in Civ 4 the units are huge and they all look the same with no icon to indicate what they are...so i get constantly confused between a warrior and a worker.

The size of the units are too big...they look like godzilla trampling over the towns...really weird.
