1.1.0 patch in early March, agree possible but unlikely we'll see something before then, especially since they are doing everything cross platform. Though maybe UI tweaks or something COULD be patched/tested for PC first...
During the latest livestream when discussing the Content roadmap the devs stated clearly that there will be frequent patches addressing bugs, balance and UI in the coming weeks. Edit: They also discussed content being added in patches soon starting at 1:42:25

So how does this feedback directly translate into improvement in the game? What kind of updates can Civilization VII players expect to see?
The first set of updates we'll be providing are those that directly target the game as it currently stands. There will be some bugs to fix, plenty of balance changes to make, and we know there are spots in the gameplay and user interface that can be enhanced with any number of quality-of-life improvements. You'll see regular updates from us in all of these areas.
We also have a number of updates planned to round out some features that didn't quite make it in for our initial launch. Our development team is a creative bunch that has a seemingly endless list of ideas, but there are a few that have bubbled up to the top that I want to mention as priorities for the team:
Adding Teams to multiplayer games so we can let you play cooperatively
Expanding to 8 players for multiplayer in all Ages through refinements to our Distant Land system***
Allowing you to pick your starting and ending Age to allow for single or double Age games
Providing a wider variety of map types
Adding in hotseat multiplayer
There's no exact date for these features at the moment, but we already have developers assigned to get them out to you as soon as we can.
Did anyone else notice the note that AI now prefers pillaging to attacking settlement centers? Not sure how this plays out in 7, but in 6 that would have been a huge change.

Extremely Gaudy would actually be Extremely Accurate for many Leaders and Civs. It's just a shame that All Extremely Gaudy Palaces would end up in game being identical . . .

I'd love to see Greece and Rome depicted with the actual eye-bleed-inducing colors they painted their buildings with in real life rather than the Neo-not-so-classicist aesthetic.

There has already been a debate on the Anno Discord about whether buildings and statuary in Anno 117 (the forthcoming 'Roman' Anno) should be in pristine white marble or colored as they really were. I suggested a compromise, in that there were numerous types of colored marble like green, blue, red, brown, that were available in Italy, Greece or Spain so that even an unpainted marble object did not have to be blanc. It will be interesting to see what they do with it, because the studio that does Anno has produced some really gorgeous graphic elements in the past.
